  1. Getting better and better guys! Woz, you look right at home there, definatly gonna need that 2nd 36!
  2. Hahaha! Gold Jason! I've pulled that shaft out (main shaft?) gonna mount it on a little timbe base and put it on a shelf. Also pinched the input shaft, Helllo clutch aligner! Gonna chuck in the 4Puk clutch i got sitting here too tomorrow :lolcry:
  3. Ripped the blown box out and had a bit of a looksy. Look mum, TREASURE!!! Munch Munch Gears For Lunch... Also finally got my badge after waiting ages for it. Fits nicely in the TE grille.
  4. Its gonna have to. Hence why I'm gonna be on the lookout for a KE70 4 or 5spd right away :P Pretty sure i've nuked the main shaft as it doesnt like the tailshaft being rotated in any gear.
  5. 300 chev-x? :P WGMG, Gearboxes of all things, grind my errr......gears :blinks:
  6. So tonight was rather fruitful, for such little work Took the rear cover off the diff and let the oil drain. Whilst slightly metallic, it wasnt anything to be worried about. Spun the center around to look for the dead spider gears, and to my suprise, nothing was broken. Got my mate to chuck it in gear with the clutch depressed. Spun the tailshaft and Voila, found my problem. BLOWN GEARBOX!! So I'm off to Jason's place to pick up a 4K for the pano and a temporary 5spd. Looks promising to have the car back on the streets tomorrow afternoon :D

Also Spotted Mick at jaf's christmas cruise :P
  8. Definatly! With the ST141 struts you may find that te bottom of the wheel is tucked in further than the top. Fitting sigma control arms will probably still give you a bit of negative camber too!
  9. The only non-toyota part of my drive line is WGMG. Borg Warner, was it possible to create the BW68 just a little stronger? K thanks :glare:
  10. Probably to give the car a reasonable amount of clearance with an air filter fitted and to keep a decent amount of radius in te bend. Wack a sidedraught straight on the inlet :P

There's a red KE70 that live around the corner from me, may have been the same one? Black dragway splats if i remember correctly.
  12. Done! possibly by next week? Kthanks
  13. Looking good Woz and Josh. You guys can come do my Pano now?
  14. I see you made use of the panels off Jason's 2dr.
  15. Yes, but you may end up with excessive positive camber, or so i have read.
  16. There's also an original Slushie machine at the deli in Williamstown!
  17. I know work can make them for ya when they make or reset leaf springs. don't think they can make one without physically having the springs there. To get the right camber in the leaf, clip lengths, etc.

Yep, looks like a 4K head you got cleaned up. So the 3K head was what was on there? :hmm:
  19. Cheers guys. After getting off the phone with Woz, I'm gonna attempt to get away with only changing the center. Swap the crownwheels over if need be. Anyone know if the bolts that hold the crown wheel on are left or right hand bolts? I did a falcon one once at trade school. Noone knew it was a L/H bolt. I ended up snapping the head off it thinking it was R/H thread. Hoping to avoid that this time
  20. What a generous offer Justin, Wanna buy me a carton while your at it?
  21. Wanna give Mick (Raven) a big thanks for offering to come out and pick us up. Although the car trailer was already on its way. And BIGGEST thanks to my old boy. Getting a call at 9:15, picking up the car trailer, heading off and managing to find us. Load the car on, drive to the workshop, unload the car, put the trailer back in the shed and be home by 2am. Definatly deserves a couple cartons for that effort
  22. I wasnt being THAT much of a goober. Take off onto Gorge Rd, change into 2nd and baang! clunk. And pulled over. Think I've smashed the spider gears, mates' KE30 2dr smashed em in his diff and mine's doing the same thing his did.
  23. Yep, currently stuck on the side of gorge rd with a blown diff. Seemed to have sorted a new one out, thanks to Jason (bmxsexmonkey)
  24. Yep! another one :P om nom nom
  25. Good to hear there are still people out there willing to help people out for the greater good. Let alone for someone on the other side of the world!
