We also do coilover springs at work if you can't find the rate you'd like thru HSD. Seeing as it wasnt a factory option for that model, possibly. Have a look thru Turbo Rolla's 4ag into E7 approval in the SA section. Alot of it may apply in your case, might be able to get thru with a certificate of exemption.
  2. Yes! fix anything defectable before you go. Anything that looks suspect/defectable you'll cop a canary and more than likely be sent to regency. From what i've heard lonsdale isnt quite as daunting/evil, but don't count on it.
  3. Hopefully i can get the exhaust done some time this week. Hopefully picking up some low end torque too

i wouldnt go 6kg in a car thats driven on South Australian roads. i did some custom RA23 5kg springs all round for RA28GT not too long ago. seemed pretty happy with it.
  5. Thanks bud. Deff see ya on GOR!
  6. I want a diff thats not gonna sap up all the power before it hits the tyres... :fuzz: Thats the same as what i got quoted from the place that did the one on the tonner. I'm gonna try aussie discount on Port rd. Seeing as they're right nextdoor (literally) Hoping they can slot me in before christmas :hmm:
  7. Jebus, so many people wanting to build a car as "good" as mine. Its weird. Thanks Jimi
  8. Not at the moment. Just don't wanna have to keep swapping the diff every few months. Although i do have another KE3x shell that may get some engine swapping goodness :hmm:
  9. Pretty sure this is the same car.
  10. Lookin good John! Moving to a..errr...Trailer Park? :P
  11. :o thanks man!
  12. Lookin good mate! Welcome to Rollaclub. CHEERS Ryan
  13. Haha, I'll take that as get the tripple flow mounted as close to the tip as possible. Thanks Jarrad.
  14. Half Traction leaves are one of the best things ive had in my wagon. Along with an extra leaf, i havent had one tramping issue since. And I'm still to replace the factory shocks! With mine, if i added a locker, new shocks and lower profile tyres it would be rather happy keeping the tail out. The stiffer you can make the front half of the leaf pack the better.
  15. Oh shit dude!!!. I feel your pain. f@$kin Dogs. Ryan.
  16. Got a question for the even more exhaust savvy people. In KE wagons, the fuel tank is under the floor. With not much space between that and the leaf spring. Would mounting a hotdog and a triple flow (Lukey super turbo) before the diff, with 2" pipe over the diff and to the bumper. Sound different to Having the triple flow after the diff? if so, would anyone know what the difference would be?
  17. I'm about to get a new exhaust for the wagon. Going 2", hotdog before the diff and a triple flow after the diff. Thats a cammed, carbed and extractored 4k. I had a 2" with a single straight thru muffler in my KE30 on a standard 4k. Wayyyyy to noisy.
  18. Took the wagon for a great drive tonight. Leaned the idle mix down a bit and adjusted the idle up. Sounds more rotor brap now :ninja: Worked out to around 200km of mainly hills driving :P Leaning down the idle mixture really helped down low driveability and pickup. Almost home and the welds on the exhaust cry enough and the exhaust drops.......AGAIN! Bit of rummaging around and i was able to use a sparkplug lead (spare) thru the chassis rail to hold the pipe off the ground. And some of my coke to get the pipe to a touchable temperature. Managed to get it home safe and sound. Upping the idle earlier in the night now meant at idle, it sounded like an outboard at a washdown bay :S Ugh, time for a full new system. Hope someone can do it in time for christmas and cheap :(
  19. Just the abused ones it seems? I (touch wood) havent had any untoward attention in the couple months i've had the wags on the road. don't often see a clean (well looked after or restored) classic pulled over on the side of the road either..
  20. Welcome to the 70's
  21. You need your front lip fixored KAAAARRRLLLL. I know a plastic welder ;)
  22. Awesome Skids, But time and place leave little to be desired :(
  23. I failed my driving test with the same guy twice. Second time the examiner had an auditor with him that makes sure he is doing his job right. He failed me within 2minutes....then proceeded to give me half my money back. Says alot :glare:
  24. Have a look at KETURBO25's ride. the Bloke that built it cut a part of a KE3x peddle box out, mounted it in the engine bay, made up a longer pushrod and mounted a PBR booster and master cyl.
  25. Cheers for the input Jason. Interesting, sounds like another decent option. Anyone got any info on Sigma BorgWarners?
