  1. awesome work, glad to hear about the no holes :D
  2. ^^^ as above leave it somewhat stock, preserve the history of these fine automobiles for future enthusiasts. period mods are cool.
  3. call peter robinson, he has been doing those conversions for ages and can tell you all about them.
  4. try genuine.... lol what happened to the idea of full chrome ke30 bars??
  5. best upgrade for you in my opinion would be a beefy set of sway bars. this will eliminate your body roll, and be the cheapest upgrade, and depending on the condition of your current springs and shocks, you may not have to replace those. nolathane bushes will help responsiveness in your suspension as it gives less than rubber. ride quality will suffer marginally. i have heard of a backyarder/oldschool trick that involved mixing used diff oil /hydraulic oil with a percentage of shocker fluid to get a much stiffer shock absorber (thicker fluid thru same size valve = stiffer) i haven't tried it, and it won't work with gas inserts. springs control how high your car sits, and they absorb and rebound according to the road surface. your shocks only control how fast the spring compresses and rebounds. thicker wire or less coils on your springs = harder rider and firmer suspension. my thoughts would be first do the swaybars, drive along your favorite twisties, and measure your smile, if it's big enough, leave it. next would be nolathane bushes on swaybar mounts and ends and caster rods. go for a drive on the same roads each time you modify something, and you'll be able to notice the results immediately. note: suspension setup for grip driving and for drift are completely opposite in some areas, so you need to be able to adjust from one to the other if you really want to do both with one car. good tyres at the front with average tyres at the back will make oversteer / drift fun, but not much chop for quick driving on mountain roads without a few brown pants moments. whatever you do with your suspension, always find a patch of private property to test your limits where you're not going to hurt yourself or your car before you take it on the street. finding your limit on the street can really f you and your car up. have fun. :D
  6. i think they are radials, call to check.
  7. ANTIQUE TYRES... http://www.antiquetyres.com.au/bfg_silvertown_radials.html http://www.antiquetyres.com.au/bfgoodrich_...wn_vintage.html plus more in a couple of minutes...
  8. ANTIQUE TYRES do a whole range of whitewalled tyres in the sizes you're looking for. they are bloody expensive IMO, but worth it ultimately if that is what you are after. or have a look on sim's ke26 page, as it lists a bloke that will whitewall existing non whitewall tyres for cheap. as far as your seats, about 70 bucks a base should be enough to cover a retrim. try OZTRIM in olive grove, ringwood
  9. yes, except on a 58 litre tank with wheels.
  10. most compressors are advertised as displacement as it makes tham sound better, but even though some others advertise 16 cfm, there free air delivery is a lot lower. i don't have the FAD specs on me at the moment, sorry. maybe at www.mcmillan.com.au ?
  11. an australian made MCMILLAN 3hp 16cfm will do the job. expect to pay for the privilege tho, around $1020 inc GST. we sell heaps of MCMILLAN compressors, no probs. bigger tank equals longer air delivery between motor running, equals cooler motor equals motor longevity. hope this helps. i can give u the name of a mcmillan distributor in adelaide if you like, or i can have one shipped from melbourne for about 80 bucks.
  12. no problems  anytime u like, just call first :lmao: for around 10 - 15K it can..... :hmm: hint hint [subliminal message] buy these corollas [/subliminal message]
  13. at last count i have 15 corollas with two more coming by the end of the month... that is just some of them. others include... and the outcast... now that is addiction.... feel free to make some offers people... i have to move at the end of the year :lmao:
  14. guaranteed M10 X 1.25
  15. hi sim, on a serious note, driving unregistered could really f@$k you up. scenario; a pedestrian walks out in front of you and gets hit. the TAC premium on your rego covers their hospital bills. if you don't have rego, you are liable for all their hospital bills which could run into hundreds of thousands of dollars. think about it. enjoy your ride man. -dave
  16. good turn out. weather not so hot, but at least not raining. more pics on Toymods. couple of pics here...click to view in normal size hope to see more of you next run... -dave
  17. have you thought about a 3tc? can get great power figures from a bit of fiddling. ask dan (HURRICANE) about his with twin sidedrafts. it goes pretty hard and sounds awesome.
  18. come to the Classic Celica Club Cruise tomorrow. do it
  19. Hey Sim, car is looking awesome. can't wait to se it after panel and paintwork. re the VIN number, cars before around 1990 didn't have a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) the number ke26 xxx is the body number the number on the rego label is the serial number which is only a Vicroads reference number. hope this helps, Dave
  20. inside info says te37 x-member with factory 2tg mounts

  22. i can give u the number of the guy in Bayswater who modded my steelies to make 13 x 7's. he did a good job. your's should be no probs. A.J.'S WHEELS hmmm can't find the number atm. will post later, or there's www.whitepages.com.au :lolcry:
  23. but hang on, what if i have a mutual friend that i send it to that you have as well, and that friend has a mutual friend with you that is not my friend, if they are on our first tier of recipients, by the time the message gets to the fifth level, if just one person on every tier has a mutual friend, that message is not going to 200,000,000 people, it is being sent 200,000,000 times to the same 20,000 people and being called spam. think about it the odds of 1 message going to 20,000 people and none being mutual friends. shoots down the theory of six degrees of seperation. IMO that means about 3000 people will get this message. FLAME ON!!!!!
  24. ^^^^^^is that a stanza with tarago wheels??? :lolcry:
  25. i will put it in for you for $18,000. no guarantees.
