  1. Well, acutally it happened yesterday. But still it's worth it. My little ke20 is finally with me in Orange!!!!! :D Yay! Now we gotta get some paint on it...
  2. wrong post. Sorry guys
  3. Hey Just curious... I was wondering how many members of NSW/Sydney rollaclub live in the central west (dubbo, orange, bathurst and surrounding area). Just thought it would be interesting to see... :lolcry:
  4. Yeah, now is a good time to buy... we got our 3 bedroom house with double garage for $140 k. just wishing the gvt introduced the new 'doubled' first home owners grant and we'd be laughing. (it just took me like 6 goes tp type laughing, i think it's time for bed...) Anyhoo, as long as it's got a shed who cares? lol
  5. Yeah, I'd hazard a guess at the later model ones as they've had (broad generalisation) less use so less chance at f@$king up. Maybe if you put a multimeter or something on them that might help? I dunno
  6. lol! That sounds like something I would do... Plug gap should be 0.8mm
  7. No offense but no! :y: I don't think my boyfriend would be very happy about that :lolcry:  Anyhoo redke30, sorry about this hjacking, let us know when you fix the prob!
  8. I have HUGE issues with killer fog in my car. I never had any problems with my wiper speeds until the driver's side one stopped mid-wipe in very heavy rain last year. Now they're REALLY slow, and don't make it all the way down to rest. Thinking about taking the motor to an auto electrician... "It's not junk either. It's the best thing a guy could have. Hahaha. The baby gravy maker" I didn't say it in a bad way (shifty eyes) lol
  9. :lolcry: My car of awesomeness!!
  10. Check the first page...lol points gap should be 0.45mm
  11. ^^^^^^VERY good point.
  12. Just to let you know... i'm not a sir I don't have junk! lol :laff:
  13. A 'predetermined noise threshold'? I wonder if this is actually going to be the legal noise limit or one they pluck from the sky? Isn't the government receiving enough money from other pocket pinching revenue raising tactics? Is it just me or does it feel like we have one of the most over-governed roads and ridiculous rules? :laff:
  14. It's probably the wiper motor worn. I'm sure my wipers used to go alot faster. Until they broke in almost torrential rain in Coffs. Then I replaced them with another set. Never been the same since. Or maybe I'm just imagining it.
  15. Our dog's name is Anchovy! lol or Chovy for short. But we give our pets weird names :laff: It suits him, he's smelly, he's got fishy whiskers and he seems to have a delectable taste for (used, urgh!) kitty litter.
  16. Don't worry, we were told that our catten was a boy and didn't bother checking. Took Garfunkle to the vet's and got a phone call saying that 'he' was actually a she. Sneaky way of getting more money from us. Lol! We now have a puppy, Anchovy, who is definitely male!
  17. How do the spark plugs look? They may be fouled. Points gap, by the manual, is 0.45mm
  18. If this is a democracy than +2 votes for KE ping it real!! I would put my hand up but I live in Orange, a bit far from the eastern meeting points!
  19. ^^^^^^^^ Triple SU's look awesome!
  20. Are they hs4 Su's? It looks as though everything is there it's just that the other SU's you saw have custom linkages, much like mine, probably due to the linkages hitting on the manifold. We have basically the same linkage set-up as the pic you found on my SU's, sourcing all those linkage parts is the hard thing. You have to know who to talk to, as a lot of people can't be stuffed. Anyway, I thought I'd post up some informative pics of my carbs... they may help, they may not. Oh yeah, and before you put them on, make sure there is no play in the throttle shafts! We have to take my carbs apart soon to get the throttle shafts rebushed, we thought the manifold was uneven or something and it was letting air in and leaning the mixture off. But after f@$king around with gaskets and silicone and stuff we figure it out. Just the heads up anyway... Enjoy!
  21. If there are no sharp protrusions on the front or sides, which there doesn't seem to be, and no steering/suspension components have been welded (or look like they have been welded) and there is no advanced or extensive rust in structural components (ie bubbles of rust and/or rust holes), and no extensive rust (ie holes) anywhere else, then there is nothing that they can knock it for. cover it with sound deadener etc and make it not visible and it will be even less of a worry. beleive me, a roadworthy is for the purpose of ensuring cars are at a MINIMUM standard to be on the road.... it really is the MINIMUM!!! :) you don't even have to have all your wheel nuts fitted for example, as long as you have a hubcap covering them so they can't be seen... hey your wheels could all be loosely held on with two studs each, as long as they can drive it in and drive it out and can't SEE the studs, even if they hear them rattling inside the hubcap you can't remove the hubcap on a rego check to find it... nothing can be removed to check anything on a roadworthy (in nsw)... you can't go looking for the loaf of bread under the bog in the chassis rails on the old holdens either....
  22. You know what's funny though? The cops were standing at the races in Bathurst with their radars seeing what the speeds of the v8s were
  23. Yeah my mate thought it was worthwhile buying one of those. It's probably the dickheads who go and get a breath test and drink after and then get caught later who spoiled it for the honest ones. It was funny we were lapping the main and driving around with my mate in the passengers seat trying to get pulled over last night so we could ask very nicely for a breath test. When you want them they're never around....
  24. Hey I have a mate here who had a bit too much to drink last night and wants to know if he is under the limit to drive. He is on his Ps so he can't have any in his system. He has to be at work tomorrow morning in a town a few hours away... and we're in the bathurst region, bad weekend to be drunk considering the police numbers around here for the bathurst 1000, but anyway.. What I was wanting to know is if a cop can refuse to give you a breath test? We went to the cop station and asked if he could have a breath test just to be sure he'd be under as he hasn't drunk anything for several hours. The cop then went on to abuse and lecture him and told him that there is no way she is giving him a breath test, unless she pulls him over when he's driving and then she'll chuck him away... Sounds a bit irresponsible doesn't it? I was just wondering if there was any sort of laws, or whether they're obliged to do it. Any help would be good!
