  1. Check this rollie out...I wish I could read this or had a browser that actually receives Japanese correctly http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r48988735 I think that we should start a movement to overthrow the eBay empire cause they've got their fingers in too many pies and charge too much!! Who's with me :y: :hmm:
  2. Phils Rotarys is ok, just make sure he sends the right thing or else he's a big pain in the ass to convince that you got the wrong thing.....
  3. geez, 500to 600 dollars, that's alot more than they give you for cars around here...
  4. holy sh** that's awesome ^^^
  5. Congrats, I also recently got my full motorbike license... I don't have a bike, but my boyfriend has a 2003 model R6. Nice bike! They're a great looking bike and my boyfriend tells me he was able to keep up with bikes of 1000 cc upwards when he went for a ride one day. Plenty quick, great looking bike, relatively less expensive than some other bikes, I've noticed when I drive behind robert riding he's not actually that hunched over... Ducati's are awesome bikes, but from what I've seen and heard they're quite expensive, but they are a very nice sounding bike, I'm not sure about the squareness of some of them though... Triumph Daytonas look nice, I'm not sure how they go or what they're like though, and they haven't been around that long so they may not have ironed out any kinks yet??
  6. what grinds my gears.... When I am driving along happily minding my own business and obeying the road rules, YES on my P's, and some idiot late 30's driver decides that she didn't see me in middle lane heading up to the round-a-bout or on it. I almost got completely side-swiped by this bitch who decided she wanted to go right around a roundabout in the left hand lane. How stupid can you be????? It was one of the times when I didn't mind that my horn button decided to stick... I know I'm gonna cop abuse for this, but I don't care cause I'm gonna have my blacks soon, but I think there should be a regular driving test for ALL drivers, once in a while, because there's that many dickheads out there
  7. Yeah that one's mine... I bought it off HRV 00S, it was originally going to replace my 55 but we put it up on the hoist and the chassis rails are rusted through irrepairably... Anyway, yes there is a stock colour orange, I have a ke20 that I recently almost all stripped back and it's original colour under all it's layers of paints is a very 70's orange colour... oooh, and also I've noticed a ke20 getting around orange lately that's a nice green, not the ke30 2dr forest green, but a brighter green, when I see it again I'll get a photo...
  8. Get a sticker made: "Made to go not to show" I was gonna get that made for my little blue beast... The back end is horrible, it's got basically no right hand rear guard left and has rust perforation holes. It won't pass rego next year and that's with my boyfriend doing it... Yeah, definitely the engine first, it won't take that long to pull it out again, and by the time you get around to doing the exterior stuff you'll have the enigne going how you want it!
  9. I've only ever seen 2 or 3, saw one for sale on ebay once about 1 to 2 years ago. The last one I saw was in Warrawong, a suburb of Wollongong, it looked pretty immaculate, nice white one and didn't appear to have any rust. If I had of had the money I would've asked them if they were willing to sell it. What dfunkt said about the price...
  10. well, a standard corolla of that vintage normally weighs between 800 and 900 kgs with everything that's meant to be in it... how rusty is it? If you're just gonna scrap it, and that's the only plans you have for it, just take it to a scrappy and take what they give you. It won't be excessively much.
  11. man that ke25's a great buy for $600!! Your ke20 is looking really good, can't wait to see what else you do to it... :) If you're looking for flares, they come up quite often on ebay
  12. Nice 20, any plans??
  13. a business called scott's auto rubbers also sells them. you can find him on the net...
  14. I've been told that impreza seats fit nicely (size wise, not sure about what you would have to modify with the rails), we were considering getting some seats out of a wrx but I found some small black race seats off ebay. As far as I'm concerned, as long as the dimensions are right, you can just modify the rails to fit :jamie:
  15. can't make it this time due to lack of money, time and moving house. :sob:
  16. you have to cut the rubbers and gently peel the rubbers away while holding the glass (if the rubbers are loose), that's how we did it (but we also did it in mind that we were getting new rubbers too), but I have a funny feeling that the rubbers and glass used in the car were not original and had been replaced as the rubbers were still soft and the windscreens were perfect. You'll need to go around the screen with some silicone spray and a seal pick while someone holds the windscreen from the inside with these suction cap tools. That's the proper way to do it we've been told. Alternatively you could get a windscreens place to get them out for you. When I enquired about it 12 months ago I was quoted around $100 per screen (Remove and refit) and they wouldn't guarantee their skills, If they broke them I would have to fork out an extra $100 per screen to get them replaced.
  17. when I removed the headliner in my ke20 we had already removed the windscreens and rubbers and the headliner was attached under the rubber and at several other places along the roof with the metal rods spaced about 15-20cm apart. Not sure what it's like with the ke55 as I haven't pulled the lining out of my 55, I'm guessing it's similar, but I'm sure there has to be an easier way to get these out...
  18. Another rolla! Bought this one off a guy on here a few weeks ago. Name: Kylie Car: 1976 KE30 Motor & Driveline: 3k 4 speed, fked points, electrical probs we haven't had a chance to fix seeing as though we've been chasing weird and obscure parts for a vacuum leak in the ke55 Suspension & Brakes: front : Stock as far as I know, haven't had that close a look as i've said ^^ Wheels & Tyres: Factory ke70 wheels, tyres? My car has tyres? Lol!! I dunno, haven't had that close a look at the tyres. Interior: Mostly stock and original. Dash is ok, only a couple of small cracks, brown carpets and trims. Body: Yellow/Mango. mismatched coloured panels which I'll respray once i've finished the ke20. Need to sand back some bog that was dodgily applied in the sills 2 owners ago. Need to adjust and align the front panels as they're aftermarket and don't fit quite right. Need a front bumper. Other:  number plate held on with zip ties. LOL!!! Just ordered some rear number plate lights off ebay as I only discovered how annoying and bright the no plate lights are without the little metal shrouds the other night when I was driving home behind robert.
  19. Does anyone know what the going rate is for a fuel cell? The prices for a new 38L one on eBay is upwards of $350. Is that the going rate??
  20. Looks like you got an alright deal for 1K. any plans for it? what are you planning for the 25?
  21. type your specs into the spreadsheet on this address. Should solve your probs... www.superjamie.net/garage/tire.xls
  22. well as long as i have the money you can count me in
  23. They also come in early 00's model corolla hatches and the police around my area seem to like taking a couple of dirtbikes out for a fang to catch all the young ones riding around unregistered and unlicensed out of town on reserves..
  24. Congratulations!! Apparently todays date is meant to be lucky too...
  25. As soon as I saw it had rollas in it I went and bought it. it's great they've actually got a decent feature on some decent corollas! I gave up buying most of these sort of mags ages ago because they mainly just had nissans and hondas which I don't have alot of interest in. I hope they keep it up
