  1. Hey, How tough are they in scrutineering on the topic of rust? I was going to compete in the esses hillclimb a couple of weekends ago, but a) had no money b) didn't know/think the rollie would pass scrutineering due to a few rust probs. Cheers
  2. I have a CAMS level 2 speed licence, it was only $85. I think it lets you do everything bar rallying which you need to do some kind of driving test, etc for....
  3. when my bf comes home from work and is absolutely off his chops hypo because he has had way too much coffee! He's so hilarious :bash: better than him coming home half dead and falling asleep like he used to. :eatlead:
  4. lady saw and a love are pretty good too, although i'm not sure where they're from. I love bands like hilltop hoods and the herd, there's actually meaning behind the lyrics and it's not all about sex and money. The streets are pretty awesome. Robyn is a style all of her own, I'm not sure what you'd class her as. Check out these two clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0CvysYjubU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_h_rLKTLvs What d'ya think?
  5. puzzleman, very successful photo. rule of thirds is why.
  6. Don't worry I too feel the pain of what is the vet... My cat Garfunkle developed a limp/almost spasm attack near her hind leg on her stomach. It turns out she had a fight with another cat and some sort of bacteria from the other cat got trapped inside the wound once it healed up. So we took her to the vet's and they cut a huge gouge in her stomach and 'fixed' it. Took her back to the vets to get the stitches out, and apparently the cat had been chewing at her stitches and managed to do some damage (yeah right). So they took the stitches out and put a cone around her neck and sent us on our merry way again. 2 weeks later it hadn't healed up and Garfunkle had a hole in her stomach the size of a 10c piece. The skin around the hole had healed and was not going to close up any further. So we took her back to the damn vets. So they decided they wanted to cut more flesh out of her poor little stomach, stitch it back up again. Stitches came out. Still it didn't heal. It was at about this time we got the major craps with the vet and went to another. It turns out the other vets did a dodgy job in the first place. the new vets ended up cutting out alot of fatty knots which is what was preventing the wound from healing. So, after a couple of $1000 later my cat is all well and back to being her lovable purry psycho self! Moral of the story, do NOT take your pets to Ross Pedrana in Dubbo NSW. They are shit. They do more damage than good and have absolutely no idea what they are doing. I can't believe my partner caved in and paid the bill.
  7. Ha ha that's awesome. We were told by someone that that's what you do if you want the cops in hurry. We've also been told that the police have avocated many times over many years that if you find someone in your house/yard stealing/damaging stuff, give them a good old bash, knock them out and drag them into the street. Call the cops and tell them that two blokes are drunk and fighting in your street...
  8. woohoo!!!!!!!!! stickerzzzzzz finally!!! PM'd btw  :P:
  9. Wow cops not picking on someone with P plates wtf? We had someone who used to hoon around in a vs commodore in the town we grew up in. Cops deliberately ignored him and picked on my partner who had a little mango ke30 at the time. We thinks it was because the bloke in the commie was ringing in the cops with drugs. He owned a 'wreckers' where he rebirthed cars which also seemed to go unnoticed by the local constabulary. :P: Hooning sounds like something I'd get caught for. Fortunately i've always been in the wrong place at the right time for the cops not to catch me. I've had my share of very near misses of getting done over by the cops. Geez. I hope you get out of this one with no jail time...
  10. You can't interchange parts between ke2x and ke3x models. Would be a different story if you owned a ke55 as alot of ke30 and ke55 parts are similar. Have you put a post in the wanted forum? I would offer you some parts, but the spare ke20 bonnet that I have is rusty and falling apart where the supports to hinge it up join it. Have a look on eBay as there is often parts on there for ke20, i've seen a front aftermarket panel listed many times and Ii'm pretty sure i've seen a grille as well. There's a guy called Tony Robinson in VIC who we got a door, fender and bonnet from a while back who might be able to help you. I'll post his number up when my partner gets home.
  11. in NSW you have to get a rego check every year. or at least I have to. I think that Australia is way too overgoverned and over legislated. I can't remember what all the points are but you get 3 points on your red P's, 6 points on your greens and 12 on your blacks. How does the licensing scheme work in NZ? Over here you get your L's when your 16, minimum of 12 months and they've changed it so now you have to do 120 hours with a licensed driver which includes 20 night hours. Red P's when your 17. Not allowed to drive "high performance" or "modified cars" (same with Green P's), get caught speeding at all and you lose your license. 90km/h speed limit, fines for not displaying P plates on exterior of vehicle, loss of license for using phone while ignition is on. only 1 passenger after i think 11pm. Minimum of 12 months. 0 Blood alcohol level. Green P's for 24 months, so ideally you get them when you're 18 and go onto blacks when you're 20. You don't lose your license for minor speeding offences. Both the Provisional licenses give the cops a right to hassle you. 100km/h speed limit. Minimum points you lose for speeding is 3 points.
  12. That post loses all serious when every f u c k i n g word is smeg!!!!! F U C K
  13. I hate dickheads who drive around with their fog lamps on! They're too bright and a third of them don't know they have them on, a third of them don't know how to turn them off and the other third have them on cause it makes their fully sic commodore "look cool", just cause their dumb shits and they don't understand that they have a functional name... Just run the traffic lights!!! Don't worry, we had some druggo shooting up on our front doorstep at 3am in the morning. It took the police over a half an hour to get here and the security guy from my work (who the cops are always hassling) got here 5 minutes after he heard. It's the biggest pain in the arse getting the cops to my part of town and even if we call them, they don't show up half the time... Anyway.... Now for what grinds MY Gears! I went to put some fuel in my car this arvo as I was pretty sure I was gonna run out. I got to the fuel station and noticed that it was really dirty below my petrol cap, like I had spilt a whole lot of petrol and not washed it off (unlike me). Anyway I put the key in the cap to unlock it, turned it and it was stuck. it was loose, but it wouldn't come out, it was like the prongs weren't right on it. So anyway I sat there at the fuel station trying to get the bloody cap off for a good 5 minutes and went to see my boyfriend to see if he could get it. He also pestered it for a good 5 minutes and decided it needed a bit of encouragement. so with some (or alot) of help and effort from the pry bar we actually got it off. Turns out the little metal plate that retracts when you unlock the cap was bent and stuck in the lock position. We are assuming that someone tried to steal petrol from my car last night and failed miserably. The only thing that achieved was smegging my bloody fuel cap. We heard some odd noises last night but Robert couldn't see anyone, well we know what they were now. Arseholes. Cause of the area we live in, fuel stealing is a common occurrence, but we've never had any issues with it before.. So I appropriated the fuel cap off the ke30 we just bought as the ke55 cap is smegged. Bloody smegging wanker arseholes, go get a smegging job and stop spending all our tax on booze and drugs. Get a smegging life and buy your own frigging fuel. Next time I catch someone stealing or attempting to steal something of mine you better watch the smeg out!!!! Sorry about that guys, but I am really pissed. :P:
  14. we have a set of those, 2 of which came off a ke70 about 5 years ago. They are meant to be chrome.... The other two that make up the set we got as payment (along with a carton of tooheys) for telling a guy he had diesel in his ke70 which is why it wouldn't run. I also had two of the same wheels in a 14" diameter which came on the afforementioned ke70. The ke70 looked funny with 14's on the back and 13's on the front. did wonders for handling...
  15. You should probably check the rotor, leads and spark plugs as well. Electrics is usually the first thing I look at when my car begins developing problems. My Corolla manual says that the points gap on a 4K should be 0.45mm. The vacuum should be connected to the carb to the vacuum advance port. I'm not sure where that is on your carbies but I will scan in some pics from the manual (again), but these also only depict the single carb motor. Please excuse the dodgy photos, my scanner decided it wanted to flash lots of bright lights and not work!!! :S
  16. I've used sand blasting in my engine bay. Wouldn't recommend it. You go through way too much sand to get not much done and it's not very cost effective to do it yourself. I would recommend, as someone else did, sanding the paint back with an orbital sander. Works well, quickly and is quite inexpensive, even if you do have to buy the sander. You can get electric or air ones. I've got an electric one and it works great :S Same as Raven, i've also heard good things about soda blasting but no one from around my area seems to do it :D
  17. i discovered after over 12 months of owning this camera that is has a specific close up function...
  18. Idiots who blink off with their right indicators, people who don't indicate right hand turns on roundabouts and then get agro at you for "cutting them off". People who stare at me and think I'm from another planet for several reasons including: - my scars - I like old corollas and drive them of my own free will - I'm a vegetarian damn people get a life and a brain that tells you there actually are other people living on the planet who don't wanna be just like you!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. In my experience, anything that is universal, generally isn't! I bought a couple of small racing seats off eBay and they fitted perfectly with height, length and width wise, but we had to modify the mounts slightly, drill a couple of holes in the mounts etc. In my opinion, as long as the physical size of the seat is right you can modify the mounts to suit your purpose.
  20. Snow!!!! Lots and lots of snow! (well there wasn't really alot of it, but give me a break, first time i've seen snow since I was 11!) He he! Garfunkle was so scared of the snow, she decided it was safer under the cars and wouldn't come out, then when we decided to throw snowballs under the car, she just ran from under one to the other!
  21. I'm a guitarist, haven't picked it up for about 5 months now though... :( been busy with TAFE and work and moving around alot! Started playing in Year 10, so 4 years ago now. Performed once at a high school conecert with my boyfriend's band. Tried to start a band with a couple of my mates but they weren't very organised and it fell through :( typical of us... Trying to play it a bit more often. I saw a post where one of you were in a band with two girls and two boys and one of the chicks could scream better than a bloke, a couple of well known bands have chick screamers, you should check it, In This Moment and Guano Apes are two good examples, great bands!
  22. towe001, We figured the neighbours have their fences further forwards than ours so we'll move it about the same, but I spose we better ask the council... Thanks for the advice on the power :D lol I can't figure out how to use this quote thing...

  24. A few more random photos... Ice on work's Sonata, sorry Avalon, I don't know why I keep calling it that? I got this from a post earlier on, except these are all my CD's. I spend way too much money on these, and cars. I'm trying to get rid of these. How can you tell they are s h i t? Cause they won't sell on ebay! I need to buy a proper TV cabinet that'll hold the TV, DVD player, Stereo, DVD's and CD's cause everything but the TV and DVD player sit on the floor and it really annoys me.
  25. Here's a few photos of the house my boyfriend and I just bought in Orange. I'm really excited, it's our first house! :D Notice it has a double garage! Yes, car stuff. Unfortunately the lady who owned it before hand did not see the point of a garage as a car thing but as a storage thing and decided to put grass and rocks and plants in front, nothing a carton of beer and a few mates won't fix  Front of house and you can see the garage, getting rid of the arch. Looks like it has 2 doors but one of them is walled off on the inside. Also, the length between the front of the house and the fence is how much more room there is from the fence to the front of the land of our property so we're thinking we'll put the fence further forward so we have more yard. Loungeroom Kitchen and dining, don't like the blue, going to paint it a different colour later on. Bedroom 1 Bedroom 2 Heated bathroom! Yay! Bedroom 3 Does anyone know someone who is selling blue cattledog puppies around the Orange/Bathurst/Lithgow/Dubbo area?
