I saw a couple of cars come into work today with some different numberplates: YDO11Y on a CRV and BLO00P on a Jackaroo

Saw two very cool old Fiat 500's down the street today, unfortunately out of 3 possible cameras, I had none on me. One was red and one was yellow, they remind me of clown cars :laff: lol. One was MIF14T the other was MYF14T There's also a 90's model Lexus with MOBSTA A commodore with SENS31 (The chick who owns it also owns a martial arts centre) Another commodore with LUV4OU That is all... :lolcry:

OMG I restrung my guitar for the first time (last time I got Robert to do it :) ) and I saw my TAFE teacher down the street and got into a conversation about my car (that's weird, he's an art teacher!)

Yeah, I figured I might have to do something like that as my tuner's not especially flash. I asked Robert when he got home he told me basically the same thing. I restrung my guitar this afternoon, I just went down to Lander's and got some Dunlop strings. I am now going to hopefully play guitar :)

What grinds my f@$king gears is after months of not playing I decide to pick up the guitar again and learn a couple of songs. That's all well and good but I decided I wanted to learn Thrice "The Artist In The Ambulance" which has CGCFAd tuning managed to tune a couple to the right note but my tuner wouldn't find the C note on E or the F note on G, and I can't tune by ear, so I gave up and decided to play something with normal tuning, as I was tuning my bottom string back to normal it snapped!!!!! I didn't even get to play one bloody note :) Now I am off to the shop to find some new strings and drool over guitars I can't afford Bring on the BC Rich Warlock!!!

A couple of Magna's getting around town have some personalised numberplates: RID32C (Orange one) NVR2LO (white one) There's also a Chrysler Voyager with a body kit and stuff (urgh!) with WICOOD I'll see if I can get some pics of some of these.

Like OrangeLJ said, you'd be looking at at least a couple of grand for a good rebuild done at a shop. IMHO the problem with second hand engines is that you are basically replacing what you started with, with exactly the same thing, it is still a second hand engine and will need some attention down the track. If I was to buy a second hand engine, it doesn't matter what the seller says about the condition of the engine and whether it still has compression, I would rebuild it anyway. Saves a lot more time and effort down the track and you know exactly what you've got and how reliable it will be...

I also haven't been able to figure a straight answer out. I keep hearing that if you earn under $100,000 you will get some sort of bonus, then I hear that the bonus will only be given out to single income families that earn under $100,000. So confused :) Also the student allowance, does anyone know if it's too late for that? Robert reckons if I apply for Youth Allowance they won't give me any money because I earn "too much" but I will still be in the government's system as a student and be able to get the student bonus so I can pay for my fees. They should really make these things clearer, but I suppose that's the government for you...

I know that Habibi one. He laps the main here in Orange. We have a few of those disgusting pink/purple wanker cars getting around with wheels so big they barely allow the car to negotiate the road. I don't know how many times they've changed the plates on that pink BMW. I can't remember for the life of me what the other 2 were?

Well I did a search, and all the numberplate topics I could find dedicated solely to numberplates were three or four years old. If the mods don't agree with this, then delete it. But anyway, I've been seeing some cool numberplates lately and I thought that this would be a cool place for people to tell us what numberplates they've seen or that they think would be cool. OMG, that's hilarious! ROFL!!!! :) :( :( I'm so gonna do that one day. WGMG: Me!!! I have no motivation lately and it's just so irritating, I just want to snap out of it. And dickheads who drive around with their lights on high beam and their fog lights on in town, even worse, people who don't even have their lights on. And they're all completely oblivious! Dude, if someone flashes their lights at me half a gazillion times, the first thing I check are my lights and indicators, and after that for cops..

Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, some members live too far away from other members to have this kind of contact with each other? And I agree totally with what soulsearcher said, you get to know people and I think that that puts "community" into the online community or club that rollaclub is. I'm also very keen on the workshops :D

You don't need to go to uni to have a good life, besides, most people who go there get on the turps every night and basically flunk their exams (very broad generalisation peoples). Do what YOU want do in your life and you will be happy, hopefully everyone else will be happy for you that you enjoy what you are doing. Living in a house with two related males grinds my gears. What is so hard about changing the frigging toilet roll when it's finished. Instead of taking it off the thing and putting a new one on they just get out a new one and put it top of the empty one. WTF? I don't care about toilet seats left being up, I mean they have to lift it after I've used it, so I don't mind if I have to put it down again, but the toilet rolls!!!!!!!!!!! And they leave empty containers and off milk bottles in the fridge. Word to the wise, don't let your boyfriend's brother live with you... Your boyfriend's bad habits might not annoy you but those same bad habits in his brother will. :D

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about these? My boyfriend and I were on our evening constitutional and we were discussing engines and how alot of people but dirty nissan engines into Corollas because they're 'faster' and easier. He told me that if money was no option he'd engineer one of these. Corollas racing in the 70's apparently had some engines modified and were racing a 3k bottom with double overhead cams, turbo charged and efi. Until they took the class out. Apparently there's only a couple left in the world. It sounds like a pretty cool concept, and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them, had any pics etc? I tried google, and I searched all the keywords I could think of on here, I'm pretty sure it's not called a 3kgte, but it's the easiest way to describe it in Toyota-speak.

Dammit! I wish I could go to this :D I didn't take time off work for the radrollaz cruise and work has rostered me on this sunday... If I didn't need the money I'd be like f### work! Still thinking about it...
