If you don't have the money to upgrade the diff why not leave it stock and drive sensibly?
Welding it is only going to stress the axles and when you start breaking stuff it is going to cost you anyway.
Yeah but even if the letter isnt true they can't seem to get ir right here.
Once a week I go there and 4 times out of 5 they are repacking my order after I check it.
Undo the manifold bolts and pull them away from the motor, its the only way I found for 3xand 5x series, on a ke20 you have just enoguh clearance to get it out.
On my vk commodore when you stopped it would dump the bowls contents into the inlet manifold flooding it, producing the symptoms you speak of.
Also had the same problem with a ke26
IN the driveway...
My car at the front, my partners car at the back.
Out the back L-R
- Very sad ke30, ke20, my vs commodore, ke70, the doof doof zuki and another ke20.
WGMG is after replacing the whole rear brake system in my ke35 iut appears there is a gremlin hiding i nthe diff and I need to swap all my new brake gear onto another axle and then bleed everything again :P
While its apart this time the whole back end is getting polyurethane bushes though
Gah, had to take one of the new tyres back, it had a slow leak.
Ordered new shackle bushes for the rear end today, the ones on it would get knocked back for rego. Only noticed this because my brother in law was over on the weekend and he does suspension work as his job.
Here is a pic with her new shoes on, it looks 100 times better in the flesh, camera does not do it justice.
Ignore the plates.... Because it spends a lot of time out the front I was always being hassled to sell it since it was not beiung used. Only another month and it will be in daily use hopefull
Tyres done, took it for a drive around the block, drives perfectly straight now, plenty of guts.
Just gotta straighten that steering wheel up by a few teeth lol.
Ok, another item is going to be crossed off the list tomorrow, getting all new bridgestone tires fitted and balanced for $360, could have got a cheaper brand for $70 per tire, but the last thing I want is to lose control and write this girl off because of shit tires.
We are driving an 01-02 zze122r corolla sedan, we have just the one, the back seat is a bit cramped though, if we have more I would go for something bigger.
