read the D.O.T website, doesn't matter where the plate is on the front, but it has to be readable at a ceartain angle from a certain distance..

Simple way to know if its working, turn your ignition on and touch it together so it completes the circuit, you should hear a clicking sound, then you know its all good :thumbsup:

I've never had a problem with mine, just got sick of it oiling up my carby on the outside and oiling up my air filter..

I run the 375ml ghetto brand oil catch can on my K motor, quite cheap really, just need to run some hose to it..

We never got the 2 doors in Australia, only 4 door (KE70/AE71), We either got the 4K/5K or 4A-C depending on if it is an KE70/AE71. (Obviously you drive on the wrong side of the road over there :danger: so they also put the steering on the wrong side too :(( keep us updated with your progress anyway :blinks:

Anyone who says 4AGE is an easy swap i'll slap with a fish! so many stupid little things to look at.. but well worth it in the end.... Of course the 4A-C is cheaper, but I don't really see a point in wasting the effort on the 4A-C..

Simple answer, don't waste your time, keep your car the way it is or just get another car the shape you want. The bits don't just swap over from one to the other.. You will have to cut out and weld on the whole front radiator support to allow it to fit the AE71 shape front end. The difference between the early and late front ends. The bonnet Guards Front apron Radiator support Grille Front bumper bar Headlights Indicator Lights I think you will find there is no such thing as KE71 in australia, most likely that the difference on the firewall is KE70 as opposed to KE70E?

Any particular reason you didn't go for a 4AGE? also would like to see some more pictures of your beast..
