I just rejetted my 32/36 DGV today and i'm running a 4AC with sports exhaust.
Primary:
175 air correction jet
140 main jet (in fuel bowl)
Secondary:
135 air correction jet
145 secondary jet (in fuel bowl)
Pretty responsive, thats for sure.
Only problem i have is that i don't have a fuel return line and the pressure builds up and pours raw fuel into the manifold, flooding it for when it starts.
Hope that helps in any way possible.
Mine car has a habit of when i put the indicators on at night and the click off, the lights switch off for a spplit second and come back or, or they flicker.
I'd be checking out ya indicator/headlight mechanism on the steering column.
Mick
Never done it, but, you'd hafta somehow mount it to the engine (use the air-con mount maybe?) jet the carby bigger as the extra air would cause it to lean out, lower the compression etc.
Worth a shot. I know a few people on here would like to have a crack at force inducting a 4K.
I'd say it'd be a bit of a bitch to get a perfect tune out of it though being a carby set-up and all.
I didnt know they WERE modified. You guys just confirmed it. As far as I was told, they were 4A mounts.
Sorry for misleading anyone, it wasnt intentional.
Fixed. After a lot of rooting around checking and re-checking valves clearances (which i'll hafta do again tomorrow) i decided to whip the weber off.
To my suprise (well, not really, i suspected it), the Lynx adaptor plate to the manifold had blown half the friggin gasket apart.
Nothing a tube of Silastic can't fix :jamie:
Thanks heaps for your help TRD ke70 and ROL-010?? i think. Much appreciated.
Though i did snap off a spark plug. Will fix that tomorrow.
Adjusted valves, didn't have a manual, so i was guessing it goes:
inlet-exhaust-exhaust-inlet-inlet-exhaust-exhaust-inlet
Is that correct?
Cos the bastard now won't idle, and it's decided it wanted to run on 4, then 3, and now 2 cylinders.
i got a set of both, but thanks for that. head gasket is fine on this engine, no bubbles in the radiator, no milkshakes in the sump. :jamie:
thanks again people. much appreciated.
Yup, thats cool. I just needed to know where the wires run to after the come outta the dizzy there. I'm guessing positive is red, negative is green and they go to the coil?
Yes, tappet info would be much appreciated TRD ke70. I'm running thicker oil and its not helping though they are quieter than they used to be.
Fire away!!
I know you are all 4-AC haters, but its my pov-pack performance engine. lol.
Just pissing me off with tihs rattle. I don't wanna pull high revs and kill something, like valves.
