  1. I was talkin about when u put a falcon/skyline or commodore diff in and u want to change the ratios people.
  2. XR6/XR8 has the same type of diff. as long as the centre is from a diff with 28 spline axles, it'll fit. EA ones will fit, but they're 25 spline and only the fairmonts/fairlanes came out in LSD. I'm running an EB XR8 LSD in my EA Falcon with 3.27:1 ratios. If you're gonna change ratio's, make sure you grab the pinion with it, as they are a MATCHED SET (unless u want lots of backlash). Mick
  3. Obviously you'd still hafta drift :angrybird: Otherwise its justa race, not a drift race.
  4. Hahahaha
  5. Would be interested in seeing what a Suzuki Beaver looks like as well :D
  6. Yes, Simon used to drive an RX7 and lived in Queensland. He's now in living in Adelaide.
  7. If at first you don't suceed, try again, if you don't suceed then, then ask almighty Super Jamie :P
  8. don't forget the tin side skirts and home-made tin drift wing on the back :P
  9. Sweet :P Keep 'em coming.
  10. Less rolling diameter will always bring faster times. Slap 13's on ya rolla and take it for a boot. you'll notice it.
  11. Have fun lining it up too. I think he meant Pressure Plate :P Clutch Plate is the double sided plate that goes between the Pressure Plate (solid heavy thing with diaphragm fingers in the middle) and the Flywheel (which bolts onto the engine side of things)
  12. $1000/1L = Chameleon Type Paint = Ouch
  13. D1GP is usually a battle between 2 cars, judging on corner entry speed, style, technique and linking up corners OR team drifting using the same judging criteria. Touge is similar, except that its more of a "who can keep up with who or who can overtake the other person" by the end of the course/moutain pass. Well, that's what I'm led to believe anyway.
  14. Try acrylic.
  15. Would be interesting to know what happens for sure. keep us posted.
  16. They should incorporate both od the two. A drift "race". sliding around a track in the fatest possible time against a whole group of cars. would make for some interesting spectating when someone misjudges a corner and spins out while everyone else is sliding through after them. :P
  17. Its not a black CA18 86 anymore, but yes, Simon. Well, thats how he comes across to me anyway after chattin to him a few times. He's now got a Powder Blue 20V AE86 thats supposedly looking more (jap-spec) than his other rides. Check out memebers rides on toymods for it. If I were to build a drift car, I know I'd put some individuality into it and not try to copy something thats already been done to death. And no Mumblezz, not you :P
  18. For what it's worth, I've been to 2 drift meets, and needless to say, they are boring. Being here in Adelaide, i've only attended Malalla Raceway for both of the meets. i'm yet to go to a Club PSI event at Adelaide International Raceway. BUT I find that watching Video Option DVD's or Hot Version DVD's of people who can "actually" drift is more exciting than going out to these meets? Why? Unfortunately, Australia is pretty new to the sport, same as America. Compare our drivers to American drivers - they're practically even. Compare them to a D1 driver who has been drifting the mountains since they were 14-15 and there is no contest. It's much bigger in Japan and until these f@$kwits who think that the sun shines out their arses cos they can "drift" wake up and realise that they actually arent gods gift to making their car slide and pull together as a community and not outcast themselves, Australians and Americans won't progress any faster and actually become as well known as the D1GP drivers are. I can name one person who drives/drifts an AE86 in Aus who would fit that bill and he comes across as an arrogant prick too. He also enters the competitions. Mick
  19. I bought street machine for 2 years straight then got bored of the constant "V8's are the only engine out there, f@$k the 6 cylinder and 4 cylinders" so i stopped buying it. Don't really buy anything unless its a drift battle mag (which i rarely get anyway). Since discovering the world of sneezing cars, I wouldn't want to even look at a Street Machine mag anymore since all they know is really V8's. V8'S SUCK!! OIL BURNERS I SAY!!
  20. Is there something you're not telling us all Justin? Why are you looking for gay porn on ebay? :D THAT kinda sliding around area's that arent supposed to be entered can cause some serious damage to your shifting mechanism. :D On a serious note, why are all you guys against people drifting? Is it cos its more commercial now than it used to be that its "sold out" as such and it's not cool to you guys anymore? Just wondering why...
  21. Ultra-rudeness i say. Whip them good :D
  22. Make sure its not a wet day (or your paint wont dry) and its not a hot day (it'll dry too fast) and make sure its not windy (do it in a shed). House of Kolor (i think its spelt that way) is pretty good but damn expensive. Your best bet is to go an automotive paint specialist, who will mix you up whatever colour you want. Best bet would be to spray acrylic as enamel requires baking. Most people say you can't get acrylic to shine up straight off the gun and that you will need to spray a clear coat to get it to be nice and shiny. Honestly, do some research on Google about spray painting. There's HEAPS of info on the net about it and how to spray acrylic and get it to be shiny WITHOUT a clear coat. That's about all i know. My mate is a panel beater/spray painter by trade. Mick
  23. General Lee Fan Club - North America More video's for ya'll. Mick.
  24. My mechanic here in Adelaide is fukn awesome :D I took my falcon in for a service and tune cos it was using heaps of fuel, and being the lazy person that i can be sometimes, i couldnt be bothered with doing it myself this time. Anyway, my trip computer was sayin i was using between 14-15L per 100km's. I've since got the car back, and its sweet as. I'm gettin 11.5-12L per 100km's now and he even rewelded my swaybar mounting point back onto the car, which had snapped off (no wonder it was whacking the underside of the car on a hard launch and quick gear changes) Mick.
