Yes, I do know a good way for traction.. I was speaking to a bloke who runs a 308 powered KE55 drag car.. obviously hes gunna have some major problems with traction, its quite a powerful motor. He got 1990-1991 model FWD Pintara.. umm.. you know the bar thingos that bolt to the axle and the chassis.. control arms? Or somethign, they're only found on FWD cars. Well, hes got one of them and they've been attached to the leaf packs (where the u bolts mount) and then attached to the floor pan/chassis of the car... I understand that it works very similar to a Caltrac style bar, I know that I've explained this very badly, but it was demonstrated to me and I can't put it to words :dance:.. To cut a long story short, this bloke has cut 1.5 seconds off his quarter mile time JUST in that mod alone. The car currently runs high 10's. Dan.

I get very intimate with bog occasionally... If you get a ke70 wagon, you should be able to cut all the bits that you need out of it, try a pick-a-part yard and ask to buy the complete shell off them (ie: whatevers left after others have ransacked it)...

Shit. Thats a really bloody bad snag to be hitting, what a headf@$k.. I'd imagine that you'd have to brace the hell out of the body before cutting out that section, and measuring is crucial.. Perhaps you could leave it like that - I mean, is it sacrificial to the drivability of the car (ie: does it want to veer off the road now etc.)? I have just read this entire thread from front to back (took me like an hour lol), and all I can say is f@$k! you've put alot of time and effort into this car, and I know how it is harder to put the effort in when you have school related shit to finish in your 'spare time'... You've gave me the inspiration to hurry up, finish my ke55 coupe and go out and do a AE71 (I used to f@$king hate these cars before tonight :dance:)... Perhaps with the lower rear end, you might be able to fabricate a roll pan for it, similar to what the minitruckers do on their rides. Essentially it is a dead straight piece of metal with clean bends in it.. cut and bend the corners into shape and add a little bit of bog, and wa-la.. would work great on an pano, actually.. Did a dodgy paint thingo for you of what I'm trying to say, because I'm sure I can't explain it very well :dance:
