Righto mate, I eat my words. There is an engine there... just try to act with a bit more seriousness and knowledge (research helps) in your posts, so hopefully you can prevent any more people thinking the way that I had.

:P Someone who doesn't like Sigmas up there ^^^ lol!

Send them to me at sidewayz at iprimus dot com dot au, i'll chuck them up for you, please make sure they are smallish files (in the kb's) without viruses :P

Damn, irokin beat me to it :P Oh yeah, about the manual... I bought one in Perth on eBay for six bucks about three months ago to suit KE20-early KE30. They aren't worth much, and a hard copy would be alot better than a ebook or shit like that. I think there is a guy on these forums that is looking at getting rid of a couple of manuals as well, I'll follow up on that (hes in Perth too btw)...

G'day mate, welcome to Rollaclub! Flip the load bearing spring (ie to effectively make a circle with the leaves) and put it back on the car and put the weight on it. This will make the car bloody low, on its bump stops. Alternatively, you can flip either the two smallest (will put it on its bump stops) or smallest (half way, i guess). Where are you in Perth, I know of a few people selling bits and pieces... For the carby, theres a idle/mixture screw on it, by rights that and a good carby clean will get it to run alright. I don't know much else about carbys, thats as far as I can take you on that... Interested in running a Gemini carby? I've got a few here that I am looking at getting rid of reasonable cheap, or if you have bits and pieces you wanna barter for them? Make offers :P Also I've been told of places that will do a full 2" exhaust system (from the headers back) with a sports muffler for $150-$200. My cousin got the quote for that on his Datto 720 ute, I'd imagine it would be around the same, if not cheaper, for a Corolla. Anyway mate, good luck with your sick kesev build up :P, good to see another WA member :) Dan.

Photobucket Or you could simply post them up by using the 'Add Attachments' thing at the bottom of the post screen, that could work. Problem solvered?

Exactly what I've told him.... wouldn't listen to me.. obviously someone else has told him as well that has a bit more influence now, because thats exactly what hes going to do now. Thank f@$king god. Dan.

Bahaha is that blood or the strawberry syrup shit? 'UrineSterilizer' is the latest craze in fast food outlets, apparently.

Is this mysterious motor ever going to go into a car mate, or get purchased? Fair dinkum mate, I might have it all wrong, my apologies if I do, but you really do appear to me as a keyboard warrior, 'wanna' this, 'wanna that'... your lack of seriousness, knowledge or common sense in the questions that you ask causes me to think that... Prove me wrong, buddy, and I'll eat my words.

Just read through this entire thread, whats happening with these cars? Real interested in them now!!!! Whats the status?

Because its LOW! :lolcry: This car will look similar when lowered, I dig it :hammer:

86 Corolla? Didn't they drop the KE designation in 85 and run AE designation throughout the whole Corolla range? Therefore, it has to be an A series engine... and apart from the obvious that he won't be running a 2t/3t or 3k/5k (never came out in a non TE series Corolla (T series motor) and 3k/5k (were only in KE20-30/Liteace))..... but anyway So what are you planning on running? The 4a-c from the AE71 or the 4a-ge/gze from the AE82 or AW11? Dan.

Give the conversion a shot. In reality its only a Corolla and its only a Commonwhore engine... What have you got to lose. Do it, if you don't like it, palm it off. Simple... Like what madtoy said, just do it. Watch the keyboard warriors stop talking shit and prove them wrong... it might be all good to put a SR20det or 4agze into a Corolla, but sometimes thats out of the budget for some people... In other words, go for it mate :hammer: go for gold

The way I see it, KE30 and KE55 ones should be the same, so it must be a KE70 one (I'd be dead sure that a KE70 one would fit). If I'm wrong in KE30 and KE55 ones being different there should be a KE55 one coming your way anyway. Whoa, look at all the KExx things in this post.. I'm all KExxed out from all the KExxs
-
f@$k thats shit man, Sorry that I couldn't help you out with the bracket. I might be looking at a KE55 for parts this weekend, I'll see if I can grab the bracket off the car, if i do I'll send it out your way. Car will look shit hot when lowered.
-
Sweet as man! Its come up a treat! I've been doing the same thing mate, work is hell but the moneys good when you get it :hammer:
-
Dude that looks f@$king awesome.. I know I'm probably the only one who thinks this, but it would look sooo awesome if it was a bit lower! Did you have any luck with the mirror support bracket?
-
Look at the bloody date of the first post!

Pump the throttle for ten or fifteen seconds before you start it... if it still doesn't start, check your timing like Taz_rx said.

I don't mind Sigmas personally. I think that the 2.6L Astron motors are great motors.. in Sigmas. Not in bloody Corollas. My mate doesn't seem to understand that his car will handle like shit with the sigma motor in it. Perhaps I should strap ten odd cement bags to his engine and tell him to go for a drive :hammer:. The reason he has the engine is because his old man had a sigma that he used to race. Its a worked engine with all the shit, apparently. Hes rebuilding it at the moment and needs a new block or something like that.. anyway. Its a good engine apparently. I reckon he should buy a sigma and be done with it lol. Anyone know whether it will even fit into a Corolla engine bay?
-
I've got a mate that wants to do this to his KE35. Hes got a 'race-prepped' 2.6L out of a Sigma sitting there and he wants to put it in his Corolla... as much as I hate the idea and think its stupid and impractical and damned near impossible, I guess I've got to prove it to him and learn about it.. So has anyone heard about this particular conversion, or the conversion into a similar car (Datto 120y, 1200, little Mazda's etc.). Will it even bloody work? Any feedback would be appreciated. Dan.

I've got a gantry that we fabricated a while back and use a block and tackle. Best thing to use, ever, I've used engine cranes and stuff before but found it nowhere as near as practical as the block and tackle setup... You could always stack shit up on either side of the car, find a sturdy piece of wood or steel and slowly drop it in from there.. But engine crane would be practical for you, yeah. Don't bother with my shit, I'm tired and can't concentrate and none of this probably makes sense as per normal... lol Dan.

Flat black for the win!!!!!!! :hammer:
