Both my father and grandfather were officers and Ive grown up around alot of their colleagues so I have a very good insight into their world and know about what makes them tick. Maybe you inadvertantly did something to piss him off, or perhaps hes just trying to stop it before it even starts. Well....obveously if he lives so close HE is the one making the complains which means HE knows which cars are making the noise. My guess is you've been driving like a twat past his house and hes sick of it (rightly so). So either start driving like normal people do, or get your exhaust changed so it doesnt annoy him because otherwise you could be in for much worse things. Consider the fact that he probably COULD have defected you for other things and I think you'll find hes being pretty reasonable. Hell if someone was driving past my house like an idiot and I was a cop, I wouldnt heistate to figure out which one it is and pull them over the first chance I get. Just cop it sweet or you'll end up in more strife later.

Dave McPhersons used to be the fastest over the 1/4 in Australia with an 8.54 @ 161mph in a 13B powered KE20. Theres another guy whos got a faster time but Ive never seen the car. Murray Kifer with a 8.25 @ 164mph again KE20 + 13B. Theres a Puerto Rican (I think) Corolla (can't remember what type...) with a turbo 3T running something like a 7 second quarter.

Ive got things against OSX.... Correct me if I'm wrong but they took the linux code, spiced it up a bit and now flog it for money. Pfft thats just not cricket... Its still a very nice OS regardless

Its not so much server compatability as the fact theres no proprietary code like microsuck. Besides windows is bloatware... 1hr to install? pfft took me less than 10 minutes to install slackware (minus the time I spent sorting out my SATA drives).

Buy one online. It'd be $25 tops and FAR easier to read a hard copy as opposed to an ebook don't f@$k around with the stuff that keeps you on the road. Do it properly or not at all... Theyre virtually untuneable. You can but its a waste of time. Just get a webber and play with that. Even a webber thats not tuned properly is better :P Read the FAQ, there are plenty of ideas in there.

I gave up on windows a few weeks ago and moved completely to linux. Its a bit more challenging to get everything working just the way youre used to but with a bit of perseverance Ive got it pretty much just how I like it. yay linux! :P BTW its just an XP theme if you hadnt guessed. Ive got mac OSX ones and just generic fluxbox themes too.

A hydraulic clutch just moves the clutch fork. There isnt really a "best" one to have...the best one is the one that works.

Its not a problem, just as long as you get the gearbox on. Ive done it by eye before too but I find it far easier to line it up with a tool.

I had that in my KE70 for a while. Dash lights would go out intermittantly (parkers are on the same circuit so they go out as well :lolcry:). I don't know what the problem was but it hasnt come back since Teddy almost completely stripped my dash out for the manual conversion. I THINK it may have been dirty contacts somewhere in the stalk (because of something I did to try and fix it).

If you don't align the clutch correctly you wont even be able to get the gearbox on the car... Trying to do it by eye is a big waste of time too. Either buy a universal clutch alignment tool (plastic $30 metal $60) or rip an old input shaft out of the same kind of gearbox and do it that way. Where are you located? Ive got both a 'universal' kit and a K50 input shaft.

I wouldnt ever encourage anyone to do that. Unless you seriously know how to weld cast iron properly just spend the money or put up with the setup youve got now.
