  1. You might be able to contact your region leader (ROLLN'03) for a free one. Otherwise you can buy them (priced to cover costs) from the rollaclub shop. http://www.rollaclub.com/shop.htm
  2. Any idea on suppliers? I'm itching to try some... They usually just bond the mintex material to your old backing plates, correct??
  3. Probably either DS2500 or DS3000s?
  4. http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Automotive.html Theyre not really called "Black stuff" theyre just "black coded". Only rated it ~200deg so I imagine they fade with some track work. Anyone ever tried Mintex pads??
  5. Thats all good and well...but what about everyone else? I'm trying to have this so that people know the characteristics of the pad. Ive got dusty as hell pads too, but they stop extremely well so I live with it (i.e. rims look dirty after less than 100km)
  6. What were they like dust, noise and wear wise??
  7. Where are you located? You might be able to contact your region leader for a free one. Otherwise you can buy them (priced to cover costs) from the rollaclub shop. http://www.rollaclub.com/shop.htm
  8. Z is toyotas naming code for supercharged. e.g. 1G-GZE. I doubt youd be able to meet californian emission standards....so it'd Just be a 4K-Z if you wanted to name it by toyotas naming conventions.
  9. Bendix Advanced. Low dust, low pad wear, ok fade, terrible friction coefficent and near non-existant intial bite. Avoid for any application. I guess the only thing theyre good for is low wear if youre a complete tight arse.
  10. Someone on oldcorollas a few years back machined up some plates for KE20s. I think Ive still got a pair somewhere that I never finished (infact I don't think I ever really started). You still needed to make up the piece that connected to the strut but there were plans for that also. I can take a photo if you want, but they look just like any other camber top you'll see around.
  11. I thought it might be a good idea to get peoples opinions on the brake pads theyre using. Of course you alone can't try every brake pad on the market and find the best one so I thought it might be a good idea to gather some info on different types. Now naturally not everyones braking setup is the same so this will end up being a rough guide at best. Try to only comment on cars that youve tried more than one type of pad on. Start your review with a short summary, you can write more about them underneath if you so desire. I will try to keep a summary of good :P and bad :( reviews (and inbetween). Try to keep it performance oriented but you can of course make comments about their streetability. i.e. A bendix standard pad may be great on the street, but shit for any kind of performance driving. Conversely an Endless carbon ceramic pad may be shit for street driving but awesome on the track. However post their characheristics when driven at least moderatly hard. Bendix standard (asbestos). Moderate dust, high pad wear, fade fast, low noise. Something along those lines. Keep the discussion out of this thread please, youre welcome to start one in off-topic if you want to chat about a pad or whatever more specifically (or in general mechanical as long as its all relevant). You don't have to agree with everyones reviews, if you don't, post your own views. ---------------------------- Racebrakes RB74 - ;) :D :D can be noisy EBC Black Stuff - Project Mu level max 900 - :P expensive TRD - :P Ferodo Excels - :P:) Ferodo metals - :P Bendix Standard (asb) - :| not manufactured anymore Bendix Advanced (nasb) - :( :) Bendix Ultimates - :) can be dusty Bendix General CT - :(:(
  12. For what its worth I put KE70 discs on KE30 hubs with KE20 bearings and used KE70 calipers with KE30 backing plates using the original KE20 struts. The bolt holes on the strut for the backing plate really should be retapped in a larger size though I got away without doing it (I would highly recommend it however). The braking power gain wasnt huge but it was something. It also opened up a wider selection of brake pads as the girlock KE70 calipers will take Commodore VN-VR rear brake pads so you can pick up a bit more braking power there.
  13. lol that would be painful!! You no doubt had more delivery volume than we did but. The entire time I was there I only just broke 2000 deliverys (1 1/2 years? I think). It was a great fun job sometimes and an absolute prick at others (i.e. when it pissed down rain for one).
  14. To be honest the way fuel prices are now...youd probably be better off with no job... I was doing it when $1 was omgwftbbq expensive...
  15. hehehe...this one time... I got pulled over for sliding ("drifting" if you will) in the rain....but he let me go because I was delivering pizzas :P (and something about not doing it ever again??? I can't remember??) ...And our area included Mt Coot-tha...so whenever a TV station delivery came up I was goooone! doing laps of coot-tha heh heh heh We were lucky tho...didnt have to wear those retarded signs...pink shirts are a bit of a giveaway though... ahh fun times...pity the pay sucked
  16. After digging through raw SQL to find the post...behold! (OK it was a simple query... SELECT * FROM ... WHERE ... = 100000) http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...00entry100000 Hoorah...no more post whore garbage!
  17. Looking absolutely awesome :P can't wait to see it finished...though I get this strange feeling theres a big interior project coming up?!
  18. Quick google turned up this http://www.rocketindustries.com.au/search.php?brand=Isky The 3.125 one should be just small enough I think. (Works out to be about 79mm and the standard 5K bore is 80.5) Edit: Price wise I think theyre worth a few hundred dollars. Give rocket a call and see if they'll sell direct. Otherwise I know modyourcar.com.au is a dealer so try talking to him. Its run by Dan Rucci who use to do Rollaboyz.
  19. They mention the Ferrari F1 1.5L V8....but not the BRM 1.5L V16 one of the sweetest sounding engines of all time.
  20. why from the store of course!!
  21. Yes I deleted all the dribble...
  22. Thats the first thing I thought....hows that gonna stop you roll starting it...the whole point is you're not using the starter.
  23. My bosch pump (which admittadly is nothing short of huge sucking around 13 amps) wont run under about 10 volts. ECU wont trigger the starter under about 8 volts I think which probably isnt a bad thing seen as there wouldnt be any fuel anyway. Time to get a jumper pack methinks.
  24. Please take this to PM...this isnt the forsale area... I think this threads life has expired.
  25. No...twas a test :lolcry: Gone now
