I didnt think it was a difficult request? If you read the first post it doesnt say "I want to buy a boss kit" its more like "will this boss kit fit?". If this was the way things worked we'd have people selling things in almost every thread. It would get very messy, very quickly. Its not the way we do things so I'm asking you to stop doing it. If you feel inclined to sell things to everyone please PM them instead of posting, Ive got no problems with that.
If he wanted to buy one he would have posted in for sale...in future please only sell thing in for sale
My answer would be yes, possibly. Theres only one way to find out for sure. Some of them have different indicator return functions and some don't quite match up to the steering column trim for different models. Its not hard to take the steering wheel off so take it off and try in on if you can.
And obveously you can't...build a bridge and get over it...its a button. The topics that are in the main offtopic screen wont be there forever, everythings being sorted thread by thread into categorys....it takes time.
The 2Ts standard have a compression ratio of 8 or 8.5 to 1 so it should be perfect for boosting. Theyve got a hemi head but I'm not sure how good it is (Ive had problems with pinging on a standard one). Theres a forged crank but you'll blow up the pistons or rods first anyway.
MODERATION NOTICE
Ive split this from the topic it was posted in as it was very old (2 years old...). In future please leave the VERY old posts as is and create a new one. For reference the old thread was http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=725. All current discussion stemming from that thread should be posted here.
I knew SOMEONE would post motomans method. I'm more interested in peoples variations. Mines based on his, but I don't follow his like its religon.
Ive heard of other people idling the motor first for 30 minutes. Changing the oil filter then doing a drive with lots of varying terrain. I think they used Sydney - Bathurst.
I thought it might be an interesting topic to see what peoples variations on running in engines are.
The method I'm using at the moment is as follows:
Penrite Running in oil (because I KNOW its a full mineral oil, suitable for turbos. Other oils tend not to advertise the fact because "synthetic is better" or some crap)
Oil filter change at 100km
Oil and Filter change at 500km (mineral oil again)
Oil and filter change at 1000km (I'm going to use Penrite Semi-syn 10W50 I think)
I drive it firm, not flogging it and keeping the RPM down (below 5000rpm and not long periods at high RPM). I try to avoid long periods of idling and cruising at a constant RPM and load. I try to load up the engine (i.e. pulls in 4th gear).
Interested to see other peoples variations on running in methods.
Bugatti Veyron. W16, quad turbocharged, 8 Litres, 1001bhp in standard trim.
At the moment it looks like we'll be running it just as a social thing without a competition component. No reason we can't have little wagers between people hehe :)
An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. Getting "revenge" isnt going to help the problem. Fact is that a massive percentage of insurance claims come from carpark damage. Its a fact...nothing much you can do about it, and f@$king with someone elses car is just moronic.
Generally speaking Banjo = jap built, borg = aussie built. There were a few 1973 corollas built by AMI that came with banjos because of supply problems (I had one of these).
