  1. As some of you may know we are having issues with image upload. All images uploaded still physically exist on the server but due to an Invision update they arent displaying. We're working on tracking down the missing code. Temporary Solutions? Upload to an external side and use the img tags. Try http://photobucket.com/ or http://www.imageshack.us/ So, to summarise, no your not computer illiterate, no the image uploads arent working, yes we are working on it :y: We thank you for your patience
  2. from a quick googling, looks like its based on a ST celica chassis and probably powered by a 3S of some description
  3. http://www.exvitermini.com/pics/getrgo1.jpg clutch failure on a Getrag R34 6spd = not cheap Mind you it was making a bit more power than standard. (not GTR700 btw) I have a suspicion that the whole "flywheel coming through the floor pan" thing is a bit of a myth unless your making LOADS of power. The only other way I recon it could happen was if you had a simultanious failure of the input shaft, clutch and flywheel bolts. When you think about it if the flywheel bolts fail youve still got the clutch attached which will still hold onto the input shaft (which, in my case still rests in the end of the crank not the flywheel). Yes its still a fairly major failure but I don't see it flying through an alloy bellhousing with big enough hole to still have enough energy to slice through the firewall.
  4. Instant sex change attempt???
  5. Gotta be happy with that. I payed $9 each for a M18 bolt once :y: never again.
  6. Thats why the R33 GTSt have twin piston caliper disc rears WITH!! a drum brake INSIDE the hat of the disc. Really cool setup :y:
  7. the 5K loves Elf Atmo Boost :P (poured from a Liquid nitrogen container :P)
  8. I'll buy the 32ADFA back off ya Xany if youve still got it :P
  9. Didnt Xany have something like a 38ADF on his? It was super boggy and ALWAYS running rich...and that was a worked 5K...
  10. Something ball bearing (Garrett GT range for instance) is usually the way to go. Its not all about sheer pressure levels. Theres a whole load of other factors that you need to consider. If you wanted to go single maybe try something like a GT2871R or GT2540R but I would do some serious research before you make any decisions.
  11. Not the same if I remember correctly. But I have put a KE70 4K flywheel on a KE20 3K motor. Easier to get clutches that way :)
  12. You'll probably find the ceramic turbines in the first muffler/cat convertor pretty quick. Even the metal turbine CT12s are only good for something like 1bar (~14psi)
  13. nick on fiiiyahh!! shot by yours truely (btw, no he wasnt using acetylene)
  14. It would be wise to ask permission first. Considering the amount of time and effort Teddy has put into this I would be deleting it, or forever bear the mark of a scab on rollaclub. BTW these things retail for $250 so you could look at it as stealing $250 from a fellow rollaclub member.
  15. Chinook taking a dip. I think this is logans inlet on wivenhoe dam. C-130 with vapour trails off the props (shamelessly flogged from airliners.net) Its almost an aircraft???
  16. http://tfs.cs.tu-berlin.de/~otnemem/dvdcol...n_052.10_uk.jpg Vincent: I gotta stab her three times? Lance: No you don't gotta f@$king stab her three times! You gotta stab her once but its gotta be hard enough to break through her breastplate into her heart and then once you do that you press down on the plunger. Vincent: What happens after that? Lance: I'm kinda curious about that myself.
  17. Just for size reference this is a CT12A (off a 1JZ-GTE) compared to a CT12 (off a 1G-GTE) how cute... :) And this is a GReddy T88-34D
  18. You wont notice a difference. If your so adamant about not painting it black, then don't! Unless your spraying it till the paint runs, its not gonna block the passages. I think you'll have more issues with the size of your intercooler rather than how much airflow or cooling effectiveness it has. The only car Ive seen with a 100mm thick cooler that needed it was pushing 546rwhp with a T88. Youre running stock turbos and no where near 500rwhp so I think your gonna end up with alot more lag than you might expect with those poor little turbos trying to fill this massive intercooler.
  19. An avatar week I can be bothered to participate in!! See also my (now infamous??) creation: http://www.irokin.com/gallery/picKLE-cache...awolf3d_640.jpg
  20. Get alloy piping for your intercooler. Either that or replace it about every 2 years. It rusts inside the pipes (and faster than you might think!!)...not something you want going through your motor. You might want to consider a cat convertor if you have to get the car re-registered. I believe the laws are along the lines of "any engine designed to run on unleaded fuel after 19xx has to have a catalytic converter" Might be worth looking into. The size of the fines from the EPA is enough for me to put one on. $400 sounds _ok_ for each of them but you might be able to do better, have a shop around. Maybe try East coast customs at aspley (I hear theyre in the old ADD building). I havent used them myself but Ive had it recommended to me. muller: 1G-GTE standard turbos are twin CT12s...
  21. Bolt on spacers are better, but theyre still dodgy. You can get them in up to 30mm from memory. But avoid spacers unless your absolutely stuck. Also, depending on where you are 17s will probably be illegal (and for that matter 16s probably will be too). AFAIK in queensland the maximum rim diameter increase is 2 inches with an overall rolling diameter (including tyres) increase of just 26mm (booo!!)
  22. right offset and probably spacers as well... chromies :) eww
  23. head checks...your supposed to do them even if youve got a passenger side mirror (blind spots). Youd be suprised how much you can see in the center mirror in the celica.
  24. I have talked to a guy who didnt install a surge tank in his CA18DET KE70. First time he drove it, hardcore surging on boost. Not sure it was even drivable. You definetly need one.
  25. 4K stuff in a 3K block should have the same dimensions as a 4K...why you'd bother doing it except for complying with rally regs is beyond me. Compression will be the same as a 3K head on a 4K...
