  17. Saturday will result in motor being pulled out, and strip-zored down. Off to machine shop mondey, with a list of *i want this, this and this :D* Yesterday, Spent 11 1/2 hours working on the car. Sanding and painting panels, created custom mounts for ECU and painted, assembled and installed wiper blades & arms, installed boot and fuel release lock, installed and bolted down dashpad; it needed some custom holes to re-alighn it (after 20+ years, things get a little loose, and stretched..), painted and installed center console mounts, Test fitted my custom dash (justin will upload pics) - I took all the fancy bits off it, just to test it (so crap isnt falling off, ive kind gota assemble it in the car - you'll see) what else did i doooo,...Noted spark plugs are overly black all of a sudden, and Put my finger on no.2 piston is either cracked / part of it missing / ring cracked / etc.. something in that area. You could liturally hear the piston clacking around when i cranked it over lol Picking up rest of interiour tomorrow :)

Hell Yes for the upgrade in vehicles :)
  19. Great to hear from you mumblezzz. Yeah, its a shame, but ill just have to bite the bullet, pull it down and re-freshn it. I did happen to take it for a quick squiz up the road and back, to test the brakes ~ and holy_*%&S does that thing get up and move. *SMILE*
  20. YEah, it still knocks. Compresion in 1 3 and 4 - 150 to 155 (dry) Compression in 2 - 120 has copious amounts of oil pressure. oil geting to top of motor (removed covers and checked) removed 20 50 or 15 30 what ever i put in it, and put 25-70 in - somewhat made it quiet-er.., but not really. Sounds like a soe-ing machine running on a metal counter, thats not bolted down :)
  21. Ah, all i can do is laugh at it now. Its that f*cked, it rattels more than a city train carrying crate-loads of spoons and sporks. UGh. Narrowed it down to No.2 cyl. having either broken ring(s), Stuck ring(s), issue in the piston and or gudgen pin. :P :D On another note, ill be taking mums new corolla to bathurst. So all isnt lost.. Today, i did.. (on holidays for 3 weeks) - Dissasembled the air-controle assembly (for like heat to cold / face to demister selector thingie). Cleaned them up, reloobed the tubes, cleaned and adjusted all the mechs, etc. 1 hour later, it feels like new. - Installed lower dash brace assembly - finished re-foaming and re-sealing all the vent pipes and tubes (removed the 20+ yr old foam, all new & no dust !) - installed blowerbox- and wiring - installed the air-controle ass. and adjusted; oooo i enjoy doing comparasons from White car *hard to move dials* to blue car *mmmmm :y:!* - Took car for many straps around yard :no2: - Installed newly re-co' dash top - must get pics of this tomorrow. Ubbbber-hotness. those few things took me from 11am to 5pm to do. Noo, I'm not pedantic or fussy .. As for what to do with the motor.. Well.. mm.. I'm not 100% sure yet. Will make mind up soon.
  22. *trying to get a smile back on my face* Ill start with the Good news, and end with, the bad news. Positives - Car progress has been 10-fold latelly, very happy with how its going. - Car looking hotness, eventho theres still things to do, its getting there. Bad news - Motor has developed a badd bottom end rattle, and resulting in the car will no longer be ready for bathurst. Bumsen Scopata Cogida Baise Foda f@$ks sake..
  23. Well, Ill make a post after tomorrow. Big day ahead, 6 days untill D Day :P! Tegzorzzzz
  24. mmm will stick my relay in from white car, i know that one works :P
