  1. Theres really not too much you can do with a late model vehicle, without knowing what you are doing, and have $$ behind you. You can't just go and chuck a bigger carby on, or different cams... If you change anything, and it spits codes up; don't take it to your toyota dealership, as they wont want to know you & will just tell you to take it back to where you got the work done to get it fixed lol..

  7. Big thanks to J for the alarm so far; wow ... haha. Once he uploads the pic of the glove box.. you'll see what took me 3 hours today lol. I think it looks tops :)
  8. Been out there to look at it. Does it start - yes (i had it running for about 20 seconds) lol. Its got a 4K in it :), needs a manifold gasket as its blown. Needs a tune, or a lead, running on 2 or 3. But it looks in good shape mechaical wise. Yes, inside in pretty dam clean. top of rear seats starting to crack, but its pretty good. Ocean blue, its really nice. Dash is overrated, bar the crack in the dashpad. Body wise; rust hole size of a coke can base under left hand side, infront of rear wheel. Body filler crack down left hand water piller thingie, at rear. Rust bubbles along top of boot lid. Grill is pretty badly tarnished. Bottom of the fenders are rusty. Is it a good car? Yes. Would it need a bit of body work? Yes. Would it be worth fixing ... Yeah, but you woudl need some time up your sleve.
  9. Engine Shop gave me a tingle today, Motor is done bar bottom end balancing apparently. Been waiting 2 weeks for the national bank to pull there fingers out and send me a new flexi card.. turns out the bunch of incompetent curry's haven't even ordered my new card. Tonight, they received another call from myself. Lets just say my card will be waiting for me on Monday morning at the local bank :) ~ Need card to buy new clutch kit, to sent away with other crankshaft bits, to get bottom end balanced ! can't wait for it :y::D:D:D !

  17. Well, Pics will be up next weekend of all our hard work over the last 2 months (very little ha ha ha) Got back into it today, with a nice exercise ot making the new parsel shelf (2 hours~), Covering it in vegas dimond style underlay, then covering that with my Pimp fur material i got from spotlight ~ Justin has named it the Yetti fur, My siemese cat almost gets lost in it, the fur is that long. Well, maybe not that long, but pics will show it next weekend. Its very pimp-il-ish-ious :D Got all the A / B / C Swade / swede how ever you spell it trims back, and installed the A pillers. Wow, it looks like a rolling lounge sweet. I can't stop touching it.. mmm so nice hahah. Test fited the new 0ke70 number plates (Black back, gold text, no spaces. Slimline front, normal rear). Yes, they look H _ o _ T. - Installed newer passenger front side external chrome strip on door, as the old one had 3 dints in it, and a missing rubber end. Not good enough. - Tested new mirror... haha. Lets just say the Ke70 now has electric stock mirrors.. Complments of an Advanti Corona - Bolt n play, Baby. Switch and wiring on the way. - Purchased new windscreen washer tubing, and installed. Not happy with the inside diameter of the hose, so that will be binned, and ill have to get something else later on in the week. The install of it looks nice tho, Its black hose aposed to shite-clear. - Installed the Tyre plackard sticker, door lock stickers, coolant overflow sticker and warning sign sticker for thermo fan Made a mental note for the plan of attact for next week. I wanta clean up the engine bay, Its "nice", but theres alot of loose ends in there atm. Brackets that havnt been paitned, mounts for the airbox that need more stock-looking-modifications, Need to make a bracket for the clutch line to g-box, as its just zip ties atm. ugh. Also need to paint and mount the last retaining clip for the engine bay end of the fuel lines. They are kinda just sitting out atm. Must mount fuel filter while I'm down there. Thinking of pulling the engine loom out, retaping it and getting new plugs for some of the loom (injectors, temp sensors) as they are old and perished. Adleast now, it would be a 1/2 hour job ~ once that motors in, that would be hell to do, as we found out putting it in for the first time in about a year n 1/2. Speaking of motors, motor is at machine shop. Turns out previous owners engine builder rebuilt it... slaped standard bearings and rings back in it. Had a MASSIVE lip on the bore, and had incrediable bearing wear on the end crankshaft bearings. Wow, this was one sad motor internally. Oh, it also had a blown headgasket. So, its getting fully counterbalanced downstairs, with a new clutch kit arriving tomorrow that ive gota send over. *makes mental note not to forget*. Will be going 20 to 40" oversized, depending on how bad it turns out. Head getting fully rebuilt, i might clean up the ports, I'm not too worried. A STOCK fresh-new motor would go harder than what it was, I'm not complaning. Considering when i took it for a quick strap up the road to test the brakes out, it would leave a new corolla for D - E - A - D - hahah, Stock FTW :D Once engine bay ends are fixored up, and the motor is back in (turn around of about a month) - Oh, gearbox rear seal has to be replaced, as thats just pissing oil out, i may take that into work and see if we can slap a set of syncro's in it, or a rebuild, not sure. Talking to boss tomorrow about it.. ~ Put the handbrake cables in, from the T18 diff thats out the back of my place, hook that up, finish putting the interiour back in, via the gawd-horrid to wire alarm, and the new horns :) - its basically finished, for rego that is :) Enough brain splatter for one night. Bring on 40,000 hits ! Sorry, no spell check tonight :)
  18. :)
  19. Turn it into a camper :D ! Hahah thats so nice :)
  20. 1) a) Check spark plug lead going from dizzy to no.2 cyl. Do a continuity check at least; -> google that if your unsure how to do it. b) i can't imagine the inlet manifold would be blocked enough, to reduce air getting in into JUST no 2. Check all the other plugs. Do your timing while your there, check points gap. 2) Wheel bearing noise is like wur-ing noise coming from the rear 1/2 of vehicle. Its like a hum that goes and comes back almost instantly, faster you go, the more times this noise happens. Wheel bearings are not hard to replace, if you know what your doing. You need a hydraulic press. 3) Noise in 3 and 4, no other gear, With that amount of info, possibly bearing / teeth noise from gearbox. don't worry about it, if its not that bad. :) 4)
  21. Warning, the short version -> Changing parts on eg. exhaust can cause multiple long term PAIN and SUFFERING. You upset the O2 sensors, its alll downhill from there. By the sounds of it, That new car warranty which you should hold onto for dear life, has already been thrown out the window. :P ! Unless you reallllllly know what your doing, and have some serious money to play with, don't go fiddling with bolt on things. don't take it the wrong way, but if your asking for advice on the Internet ~ I'm going to take a guess (i hope I'm wrong) that you don't totally understand what you may be getting your self into.. ! For example. We have had a.. 4x4 (ill keep it at that) in at work, over the last few months. The owner has had a piggy back ecu, and aftermarket exhaust put on it. It appears to be coming in weekly to get the codes cleared, and more stock things put back on it, to try and make it run correctly.. lol. Lets just say the owner of this very expensive near new 4x4 wishes he never touched the thing. You can trick a carby car, But you can't fool an EFI system. Input, Process and Output. Computer only reacts to what it see's at the end of the day :bash: Have fun :lolcry:
  22. Yummmmmmmmy !
