  1. go get yourself a gregories repair manual, will tell you how to do it :P you will need, a few spanners, a good flat head screwdriver, some feeler gauges, and not alot else really. a bit of patience to to get the knack of not overtightening the tappet when you tighten the nut.

  6. worn diff gears would be the likely guess. just drive it til it breaks, mine went 2 years on rooted bearings and only replaced them when i had to, to sell it
  7. that is interesting then. maybe try a new master, as you may have phucked the seal in the second hand master swapping it over as the pedal travels further, and this area will be rough with corrosion, and will damage the seal and it wont do its job. just a thought... small leaks wont cause you to have to pump the pedal up, it will just drop gradually....
  8. do these run a booster? might be the booster f@$ked if you know the master is good and your sure you bled the master right. i know i went through the same shit with my car when i replaced the master until i realised i needed to bleed the master.
  9. is that running a V mount intercooler? bonnet is interesting if it isnt.. id say it is quite likely to have an SR or something in it...

  14. there is usually a gap. it can't be hard up as it will bottom on bump and rebound. think back to when u pulled it apart, how much gap was there? how far is the shiny bit in the glory hole? if its in enough to not fall out, and you havnt changed anything, you can't be too far wrong really.
  15. is it turning over at full speed? might be ballast resistor, they have this lovely habit of just stopping working.

  17. gearbox bolts not long enough? cut the little tabs the bolts go through so you don't need such long bolts. its what i did :) how much was rental on the engine hoist?
  18. stopped working or the diaphram f@$ked out? ethanol fuels?
  19. genuine make them. 5 bucks a bolt or something stupid usually. but its not much in the cost of a build so i did mine on the 1g. u can go to a bolt shop and try get a exact match, in an 8.8 grade or higher, but often they don't have exactly what you want, and id just go the genuine route.

  22. if its been replaced, i would guess its had the seal sikaflexed in place to stop the prick leaking, so your gonna have a carnt of a time if thats the case. but what everyone has said is pretty well the go... just make sure you can get a new rubber before you knife the current one

    oh, and to further that, BP who refines it all and passes it off to everyone, will have excess amounts of refined oil ready to be additivised so any servo that is going over their quota shouldnt have an issue getting more so long as there are trucks to deliver it and they can produce enough themselves.
