  1. well he said the new spring was 20mm shorter than the old spring, and its now venting to atmosphere, so if you can add 10 mm to it, you'll probably be in a pretty good ballpark of where you wanna be :lolcry:
  2. id be worried too if my "waist gate" was venting when i didnt want it to... just keep adding washers til the waste gate does what you want it to. or cut the 16 pound spring :laff:
  3. theres a little contact on the back of the steering wheel, little brass knob pushed up by a spring, which contacts a brass ring on the back of the steering wheel. if this has worn down too far, they wont be making contact and the horn wont be working. try checking that :)
  4. technically you should have. but technically you shouldnt have been onsite without a blue card its the builder that cops the fine for mud being dragged onto the road, they then pass it out to the tradies responsible. don't clean your boots on the kerb and youll be fine, clean them on the grass or throw them in the boot and put your thongs on.
  5. well its not the councils problem if you muddy up the road and they need to clean it. so yes, you cop the fine, you'll notice when it rains that there alot of council vehicles driving around sites. park your car on the street, no need to park on the mud unless your running something from your car, which i doubt you are. you or your boss should ahve a work method statement prepared, as well as the builder. its not just their responsibility to have one, you need one, and it should be signed by your boss and all his workers.
  6. use much extra fuel with the bigger tyres on? probably more apparent if you do some city driving?
  7. is the pope catholic?
  8. yours looks so much neater than mine cuzbro  haha next thing on the remake list once the car is back i guess
  9. i can help you out mate, thats not too far from me, always happy to help people out and can always get my hands on a pallet or knock one together for nothing  think i have one hanging around as it is in fact :D cheers, andrew
  10. if you get reported again watch out :P thats what i got told anyway. if you wernt speeding you were probably giving it a bit, which is also illegal technically. just modify your driving in suburban areas, no one wants a driver playing hero to run over their fat red haired 6 year old :P
  11. custom they're easy and u can make sure it goes where u want it too http://s29.photobucket.com/albums/c292/aro...nt=IMG_0047.jpg thats just 50 x 50 x 3mm mild steel angle drilled to the bolt holes on the chassis then a bit of angle across the bottom, can't remember size, with the holes drilled in the right spot, then just some braces welded to hold it all together. never let me down, but I'm sure it could be better, like everything on that car
  12. lol, i got one of those, but as a phonecall about a year ago. stopped me hooning outside my school then giving friendly waves to people walking dogs. damn spoil sports aye
  13. last minute drive to bathurst?

  15. shoulda just picked him up. 7 hrs sleep is enough, especially considering he is only visiting. i think he dealt with it quite well haha
  16. wow, how long have u been with this one? I'm impressed :) good luck with it all mate :)
  17. as a third year carpenter ill be on around about that much. qualified is a minimum 25p/h pretty much, and thats for your average monkey. there never has been money for the worker in the automotive trade, especially not in fleet workshops and the like.
  18. are you qualified yet or is that 4th year pay? if your on 17 as qualified i would walk, plenty more jobs out there mate. if not, just stick out your time then move on. theyre doing shit to your car because the know it gets to you, and its hard once they know, because theyll still do it even if you don't react anymore. people are just pricks. at least the car was clean, so it wont have scratched into the paint work. just keep ya chin up matt, i know you have the ability to get there in the end, with work and the car :hmm:
  19. bathurst is next weekend isnt it? :hmm: hehe sorry matt *big man-hug*
  20. i reckon its just condensation from sitting around so long
  21. goo should seal it. make sure your oil and coolant free and get a smooth application of goo all around it. if not as you did, fashion a gasket and goo both sides of it :y: id buy a new pump if it were me, but i have a second hand one if you want it.
  22. amen, or better yet, build another car while u drive this one for a while, the experience of pushing a slow car to its limit and beyond is one that should not be looked upon as pointless, teaches you alot about driving a car hard while staying a bit safer, as when shit goes bad, theres less go fasts happening so you have more time to react. then you push harder and harder, then you get more power, and start at the beginning again
  23. you wouldnt notice if they were warped, theyre too thin to hold any kind of deformed shape. very impressive
  24. http://www.lr.pl/grafiki/obrazki/simex_extreme_trekker_2.jpg only simex i would buy :y:
  25. i think laziness is the key issue. and an inability to read the faq or use the search funtion. but what do i know...
