  1. a genuine gearbox manual would be recommended if you are doing it yourself.
  2. shouldn't be too much for a used one but I think you still might be ablt to buy crate engines for them.
  3. yes they are a good engine, and have quite a decent amount of torque as well, and parts are still quite easy to get as they where also in a hilux up to xxxx?
  4. don't think anything bolts up directly, but someone has put a 22re from a corona in a ke70.
  5. ye that's what we do, forgot to say that we leave one nut on.
  6. put it on jack stands and kick them off real hard, at work the acv series Camry's get a fair amount of surface rust on the hubs on the steel wheels so we have to give them a really hard boot, but then we have them up on hoists and can grab onto stuff under the car to kick them out from behind.
  7. wow those wheels are nice, I might see if I can get some for when I buy the T18 ill be getting.
  8. not going to buy it anymore Dougy, there is too much body work that I can't do myself.
  9. coil is better, axle tramp can come with leaf springs from what I know too.
  10. pretty sure you can buy them off ebay, I bought a set off a guy from work lucky I had them because I locked my keys in my old corona and with cars with the locks on the top you just go under the door handle and flick the door lock cable.
  11. ye will probably keep it for a while, got to fix up the rust and see if i can get a new bonnet, its still got the 5K in it dan was going to put a evo turbo engine in it but he couldn't let himself ruin such an original car. Its just a project car for now then I will see what happens. If I do ever sell it ill give you first choice. Dan is selling all his ke's except for his 10. also do you know of any good places for rust repair and paint jobs?
  12. what lifter would you recommend the crusier ones or the chev ones?
  13. 3L engine from a landcrusier??
  14. If you find the thread I might be interested.
  15. if anyone who used the swift seats did you use the original rails or did you bolt the seats onto the ke20 rails?
  16. my parents 04 Camry has about 260xxx and only uses a bit of oil. Needs a new clutch though its slipping like no tomorrow... quite and expensive job, ah nothing like doing a clutch on a fwd car and not being able to take the gearbox out.
  17. what's this about? ^^^
  18. well thats all I wanted to do maybe when I'm off my P's might go 3t/2g hybrid then maybe get a better diff. If anyone has some ke30 (or similar) BW axles let me know.
  19. all ill be using is a worked 5k, I think the 4wd corollas where a tercel? not too sure but yes apparantly they use the same T series diff as a ae86?
  20. also what about the diff cause I'm going to be running ae86 struts+jdm brakes so ill need to convert the rear stud pattern to 4x114.3.
  21. yes please if you could measure them all to see if they are a equilateral triangle.
  22. so does anyone know for sure what the ke20 pattern is?
  23. Hey does anyone know that size are the ke20 strut top bolt size because I have a KP starlet camber tops and would like to know if I can use them on the coil over setup I am going to use, the KP tops are a 100mm equilateral triangle. Also would like to know if there is a way to convert a ke20 Borg Warner diff to 4x114.3 stud pattern. I know with the jap diffs you can shorten some ke30 axles but is it the same with the Borg Warner ones?
  24. the ones for $99 are brand new, but someone from work had one and it only lasted just under 12 months. Also this is a bit off topic but what would be a good master cylinder to use if I am using jap ae86 front brakes on my ke20?
