  1. ajps sponsored a ae86 with a Honda v-tec engine in it. now its got some other engine in it.
  2. bump. anyone got any ideas? not just on radiators but other stuff that will bolt in to a t18.
  3. Hi, would like to know any parts the are interchangeable on a 1980 t18 with 3tc, I know that most ae86 stuff will bolt right in like struts, I think seats, strut brace, and other stuff but would like to know if I can use an ae86 radiator in my t18 as I will be needing a radiator and can get a slightly bigger that standard but its made for an ae86.
  4. ok, I'm putting a 32/36 weber and a 2.25" exhaust with extractors on.
  5. Thanks, do you know if that would be a practical cam for daily use?
  6. read that 30/70 would mean the intake valve opens 30deg btdc and closes 70deg atdc does anyone know if that is right? then the exhaust valve opens 70deg atdc and closes 30deg before (I forgot)
  7. Hi, I want to buy a cam for my new car it is a 1980 t18/te72 corolla with a 3tc 1.8 single cam engine, the only specs I have on the cam is it has 30/70 stamped on it. So does anyone know what this means I would like to know. Thanks.
  8. if you want to buy some, check out ajps.com.au they sell 15x7 superlites in any stud pattern.
  9. just change the suspension, and possibly 3t/2tg hybrid engine later if money allows. but for now I'm just going to get a cam regrind, twin carbs and an exhaust.
  10. Here are pics. just went to have a look at it yesterday and put a deposit down. picking it up on QLD labor day long weekend.
  11. Don't think ive got that many cats! ill have to call work and tell them I wont be in for... well ever again. LOL
  12. I'm selling the car anyway, just bought a T18 corolla
  13. ye that's why I was just thinking of gutting the original cat so it still looked like i had one.
  14. ye I'm not sure I might just get a high flow cat?
  15. on my 4afc ive got 1 and 3/4 in and a shorter resignator and sports muffler at the rear and it sounds good not overly loud noticeable performance increase and doesn't sound shit like a cannon. I'm just about to cut open the cat and gut it and put a piece of exhaust pipe in there so I can do key bangers lol.
  16. toyota genuine part no. is yzze1
  17. one of the guys I used to work with has a ke20 and he has ran 215/50/13's on the rear of his ke20 and he said they rubbed a little bit going fast over big bumps or dips.
  18. Don't run 175/70's on a 7" wheel unless you like very illegal stretch, I tried some when I had my 13x7 jelly beans and they stretch alot. try mabey 185's will make it a little less
  19. oh ye just to let you know it still has 7 months rego on it so I don't need to pay for anymore rego. also unrelated would anyone know why my "Enable email notification of replies" is not working I tick the box all the time and I still don't get email updates. if a mod can I would like all threads I post in to have Enable email notification of replies.
  20. so I have to get another pink slip for the car? if I do ill just transfer it into my friends name, then when the rego is due ill just get a rwc and rego it in qld. Also I believe in QLD you don't even have to be old enough to get a license to have a car registered in your name.
  21. do you know if you need a NSW license, or can I transfer it into my name?
  22. don't buy a sv model Camry as they have a few problems, the steering racks usually sh*t themselves and same with struts. the acv and mcv series onwards are pretty good and the 4cylinder ones are pretty good. spark plugs are done every 90000 on v6 modals and are a bit of a bit*h but can be done without taking off the intake manifold (unlike the klugers) aurions are pretty easy too and they are a very good car if you've got the money.
  23. Hey, had a look and couldn't find anything so ill ask. does anyone know what the process is with transferring rego in nsw as I might be buying a car from nsw and can put the rego in my mates address but the car in my name. So I just really need to know if you need a pink slip (I think it is the same as RWC in QLD) or not cause they have to get one every year someone said they just pay the transfer fee and stamp duty and that's that.
  24. what do you mean? the bar itself? if so I'm pretty sure it does the same as RCA's except on the rear.
