  1. ye didnt think that small muffler looked even remotely like a cat. would less back pressure of a bigger diameter exhaust make the key bangers quieter?
  2. could just be a cannon that makes it sound like that, what exactly do you mean by stiff? as in it takes a lot of force to get the car to brake? if that is the problem it could be your brake booster.
  3. braided lines made a bit of a difference on my car allows less stretching of the lines so pedal feels a bit harder, otherwise if you want a really stiff pedal I think you could get a different master cylinder to make the pedal feel stiffer.
  4. I like the flat front on my T18, pretty sure its similar to the ke70 flat front.
  5. nah, its alright now just thought I may need one for a roadworthy, but didn't its all registered now. Do you know if a cat was required I'm pretty sure it doesn't have one cause its only got one normal muffler and one smaller half sized muffler, looks nothing like a cat. Oh, and it also does very very loud key bangers ;).
  6. Hey, I'm not interested personally but one of the guys from work was asking to buy mine so ill ask him if he's interested and ill give him your number. Also would you be able to send me some pictures either on the post or PM me. Thanks, Jake
  7. Best bet is to buy an adapter and buy a cheap used Weber 32/36 (probably wont find a used 38/38) then rebuild it yourself, otherwise you'd be better off buying the already rebuilt one off ebay.
  8. solid lifter = solid lifter cam and same for hydraulic lifters.
  9. ill check the thermostat because I know how to do that then ill try to check the wiring and if I have no idea ill ask teddy if he can have a look at it.
  10. I know this thread is old but would rather post on this than start a new thread but I drove my car down to the transport dep. to transfer the rego from NSW (still has NSW rego on it) to QLD and the thermostat gauge didn't move at all, so I'm wondering what could be wrong I checked the overflow and it was nearly down to the low mark and I just topped it up a week ago, but this is the first time the gauge has not moved since I bought it usually it sits just over a quarter of the way up. Anyway if anyone has some ideas or things to check ill have a look at it tomorrow. Thanks, Jake.
  11. pretty sure we have one for a 5k/5k-c is what it said on the front.
  12. Ye, I might ask at work if we have any old manuals lying about. I work for toyota btw. I found an old engine repair manual for a ce70 diesel ke70, not that we ever got any.
  13. anyone here who has a 3tg or 2tg for sale give me a PM please. for sale that is.
  14. what do you mean reference only? I need the manual to rebuild my engine.
  15. wow, sorry to hear that.
  16. yes, lol. it's not my car anyway so not my problem.
  17. I'm not being a smart ass but he didn't cut grind or weld his firewall he made a completely new one which I would guess is just as illegal.
  18. true, can you get a mod plate for that at all or not?
  19. what about for an T18? ive looked everywhere and can't find an engine repair manual.
  20. how much did you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking? I got mine for $2000 with 8 months rego.
  21. why don't you make the machine shop get a new one if they where the ones who lost it?
  22. yes, it would be nice to be able to see out the left side without looking back all the time. I might be getting fender mirrors though when I find a picture of a T18 with them on, although I would think it would look similar to a flat front ke70 with them on but ill keep looking.
  23. ye, we would never get something like that here.
  24. apparently there may be a turbo TRD version.
  25. There is a guy at work and he made a whole new firewall in his ae86 to put his 20v in, looks like a factory job you wouldn't be able to tell.
