  1. I work at a toyota dealership and a landcrusier came in cause the gps radio thing didn't work so they replaced it under warranty, then the new one stuffed up so they started testing things and found a screw had been put through the wiring harness by a company who installed a uhf radio, so then they had to pay over $10000 to fix it all, just ask teddy about it :D
  2. You can get rid of the air pump, and block off some of the emissions lines, there is pleantly of performance parts for 3tc's in the states (3tc performance brd racing) Carb tuning: The way I did mine was I replaced all the plugs, leads, reset dizzy points, reset timing first, then I played with the carb. The way I did was turn in the idle mixture screw till it runs rough then very slowly turn it out till it sounds smooth, then turn it out another 1/4-1/2 a turn. Thats how I did mine and now I'm getting about 10L/100kms, which I think is pretty good. If you live local I could give you a hand, where in QLD are you? Also got a picture of your car?
  3. if you can find a te27 crossmember that will make it all very easy, but they are rare in aus, more common in the states.
  4. ye, but for that price I can buy the machine to do it my self which is $200 from trade tools, and still save $20. Thanks anyway.
  5. what kind of corolla does he have^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  6. its not hard to repair the rust yourself properly, all you need is time, metal to cut out and shape, and the only hard bit, access to a welder.
  7. what kind of corolla?
  8. ye, Ive seen both these videos, but was looking at getting it done properly with the proper tool that some body shops have (can't find any local) Otherwise I might see if I can find a picture of a ke70 with bolt on flares.
  9. anyone here know anyone who does guard rolling (tryed mungi mods but couldn't get a hold of him)
  10. if your repairing rust holes (properly), it is best to cut out 3 times the size of the rust hole itself.
  11. what does it need for a rwc? swap for a surf plus cash my way?
  12. I put 14x7.5 0 offset on the front of my T18 and need the guards rolled, and same with 14x8 0 offset needs the guards rolled on the rear.
  13. pics of the xr4 longchamps on the front and pics of the mk3's that will be going on the rear when I get some wheel nuts that will fit properly.
  14. do you need to cover it or just leave it bare? and do you know if it cracks the paint?
  15. put the longchamps on the front and the mk3's on the rear and they scrub on the inside of the guard , so does anyone know any cheap/good places I can get my guards rolled slightly or would I be best off doing the thing with the baseball bat as I think I only need a slight roll.
  16. might be getting some 14x8 ssr MK3's for the rear and 14x7 ssr xr4 longchamps for the front tomorrow.
  17. My 3t in the T18 burns none, well obviously some but not an amount that shows on the dipstick. Only has 125xxxkms though.
  18. ok, haven't realy noticed when we take them for test drives after serviceing them, the TRD aurion is really bad.
  19. well if all these people keep saying these wheels are crap could you try to help me find some proper jap wheels locally (brisbane) because I have been looking all over the forums (except toymods cause I don't have an account) but I have about $1500 to spend, don't need tyres (if 15") and my preffered sizes are, 14/15 by 7/8 or larger in an offset to suit the same as a ke70 I would assume as my car is similar.
  20. well compared to some of the other cars they don't have as much.
  21. according to what we have been told at toyota technical training center, Toyota don't have Monday or Friday engines/cars
  22. ye, well I like the old school look of these wheels - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/16-ROTA-FLASHBACK-D...=item19b8d19931 but would rather 15's.
  23. Exactly you aren't aloud any engine mods that require a mod plate, otherwise id be putting a bigger engine into my T18. Even the old v6 Camry's we get in for servicing at work under steer bad and in also have bad torque steer, but surprisingly the aurions have nearly no torque steer apparently because of the thicker cv for the longer side.
  24. can't put a v6 in a ae82 on your P's cause it requires a mod plate.
