  1. Thanks, ill keep looking around for a diesel troopy that is cheapish.
  2. Edit: re read, yours is diesel.
  3. Someone has already offered to swap just the 2 mk 3's I have for a full set of centerlines, never seen any on a car like mine, or even a ke70.
  4. Ye the one I am looking at is even older. Is yours petrol or diesel? cause ive seen a couple for about 4000 on gas.
  5. Hey, I'm looking at taking long holidays and seeing some of Australia by road. Ive been looking at some diesel 4x4s under $3000 found some old cruiser wagons and a couple of petrol troopys for around $5000 but would prefer a diesel. The main 3 Ive been looking at is a HJ45 troopy for $2000, mechanic owner for the last 20 years with new glow plugs and clutch mast cyl, I know it would probably need more done too it but I can get all parts at trade price and rust doesn't really bother me as I can do that myself as well. 1988 TD pajero, needs 2 tyres body work and is auto, but only has 122000kms though. For $1400, also probably needs work. And a diesel 1982 patrol, new clutch, ps pump rebuilt, new radiator, new wheels and tyres, 298000kms. $1600, once again probably needs work. Also had the same owner for the last 15 years. What I would like to know is the good and bad points about these 3 cars, I'm pretty keen on the troopy because of the extra room in the back for stuff. Not too keen on the bitsamissin cause.... well I don't really know just never been keen on Mitsubishi's.
  6. try smaller local tyre shops, most likely they will do it (but it will cost you more)
  7. my T18 does the same, ill check tomorrow if I finish work early, been starting a 6.45 and finishing past 5 lately, good overtime though.
  8. jelly beans are 13x5.5, 175/70/13 front and 13x6, 185/70/13 rear. Front - 14x7.5 -11 with 185/60 now getting guards flared one day to fit with the 195 wide tyres on, and 14x8 mk 3's for the rear. with same 195/60 tyres. Also tryed on a mates 17x9+15 wheels of his s13 and they fitted (just) on the back with 215/40 tyres. Also my old ae92 with 17x7 +42
  9. One day, one day.........
  10. My whole exhaust from the extractors back cost $250 with one muffler and a custom twin tip that they fabbed at the muffler shop.
  11. after complete service and carb tune I went from about 16L/100kms to around 10L/100kms. And for some reason I use more petrol when I use premium rather than just regular (not ethanol)
  12. He went just not long ago is what I meant.
  13. didn't you just go to America teddy?
  14. flux capacitor

  16. why would you want 40?
  17. Denso part no. is - W16EXR-U.
  18. Sorry, don't have microcat on hand ;). but ill go down and check what mine are :D
  19. genuine FTW.
  20. I'm running 195's now on my 8" as well, just get 195/50 if your using 15's it will be better because you will have smaller stiffer sidewall.
  21. Don't get to much stretch, I had a sidewall collapse on Monday, was a 185/60 r14 on a 7.5" wide wheel, but then the tire was old and only had 35PSI in it. then I put a 195/60 on and still stretches a little but not too much.
  22. I bought new genuine ones for $9.00 for 4 for my T18.
  23. What is the mod plate for?
  24. don't drive it to the track, drive it on a trailer. As you say it will be a track car it will most likely be unroadworthy.
  25. no one unless you know them or aren't very dodgy will "sell" you a locked diff, and if you do drive with one you'd better be a dam good drive in the wet. They are just dangerous and dodgy.
