I drive in my Falcon and I like driving it, but it has no heart/soul. My Rolla speaks to me. And it says "Spend more money and make me even more fun!" sigged I love my corolla its not as common as your average ke70 but have seen 1 other, I had a very keen mate the offered me twice as much as I payed for it but I turned him down because I don't think I could ever sell her, I love driving it get heaps of looks (touch wood) not from the boys in blue though, it may have a half a dozen rattles and not quite everything works the way it used to but I wouldn't have it any other way! I drove my old mans 2004 Camry for a week whilst I was fixing my car and as much as I liked the A/C, PS ect but as soon as I got back into my car after that long, long week everything just felt OK again. :worship:

is there any difference between T18 xmember and AE71? apart from the T18 having a steering box instead of rack.

I saw a clutch kit for a ke70 at my local supercheap they wanted to get rid of so they put like $50 on it, should fit the 5k? Otherwise give direct clutch services a call they beat repcos price by $50 when I bought my exceedy HD cost me $200 for the HD.

how did you cut the cf to shape?

Air leak? my car had a small air leak between the carb and the manifold and was idling high. Just get some carby cleaner and spray around the base of the carb and around the intake manifold and if the idle speed changes you may have an air leak, or you can do the same with water in a spray bottle. Otherwise sticky choke? throttle cable adjusted incorrectly? I also had a AE92 with 4afc and the throttle shaft bush was stuffed and caused an air leak, so there are many things that could be making it idle high.

go 16v 4age then if your sticking with carbs, be prepared to pay alot for the carbs if you can't rebuild them yourself same with tuning both can be very expensive. If you buy brand new/ fully reconditioned webers + your manifold probably wont have much (if any change from $1000)

did you flip the centers?

when i put my 38/38 weber on my car I just unbolted the old linkage off the standard carb and put it on the weber.

the engine in that is a toyota all alloy 1UZ-FE V8 with individual throttle body's.
