  1. Wish it was sooner, so keen.
  2. big spacers will be needed for +45, at least 20mm spacers.
  3. so mabey if I get stiffer shocks and keep the current springs would it make much difference?
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ANTI-THEFT-LOCK-AUT...rts_Accessories doesn't look to good though, aswell just about all autos can be shifted out of park.
  5. Ill see how much money I can get together and decide then, was thinking aswell about going corona lca's brakes and sus. Do st141 corona stuff bolt in to xe7x? Was also looking at mx83 cressida setup.
  6. Well the springs in it now are good for daily use. But would like to get some stiffer springs or coilovers, just like I said not too sure what to get.
  7. Well its on cut springs at the moment (just legal height), but if I could find some coilovers cheap I would buy them.
  8. Hey, ive been looking at a suspension upgrade for my T18. Now I was looking at some ae86 8kg coilovers for the front and 6kg with adjustable spring things like ajps make for the rear and short stroke shockies which will cost about $1400 all up, or 6kg front springs with short stroke inserts and 4.5kg rears also with short strokes, cost is $400 for springs and not too sure how much the shocks/inserts will cost, (got quoted $250 each for koni inserts) The car is my daily but would like to try it out on a circuit track/motokahanas/skid pan days, just some stuff that is cheapish and fun. I most likely would not need the adjustability of coilovers but would it come in handy for what I want to do? Or if ST141 corona lca's and struts ect bolt in I can get them cheap, can also get the twin piston calipers cheap too. These are the coilovers I was looking at - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BC-Adjustable-Coilo...rts_Accessories
  9. its a diesel too, so 280000 is nothing.
  10. Ill hope to be down from the sunshine state in either the T18 or maybe a L300 camper :P
  11. Found an L300 with RWC, 6 months reg and full backpacker setup for $2500. Just had the head done and timing belt, plus only has 280000kms.
  12. Get them reset lower, suspension specialist should be able to do it for you.
  13. Oh, I see now. I always thought the panelvans had the same as a T18. Ye, I can see the slight difference between the two.
  14. Both of those style park lights came out on series 1 and 2 T18's, ive got a spare pair the same as what you have pictured.
  15. No, the ones I am looking at are the head lights they are the park lights. From what I have seen you can only get clear headlights, try a narva catalog if you have acess to one at a parts store or something should have one. That other front end came out on series 2 T18's/TE72's.
  16. Pretty sure they are a DX front end? I have those lights on my T18 and have seen them also on ke70 flat fronts (wagons/panelvans) on the ones we got here in Aus. You can get clear headlights on ebay and narva make a universal type one that will fit as well which will be getting some soon.
  17. the new V6 tarago's have plugs that last 160000km's because to change the 3 at the back the whole engine has to be removed.
  18. another reason why T-18's are awesome :blinks: Edit: Also check your engine fan as mine is a viscus one and it is stuffed cause it just stays on all the time.
  19. When I did the rust in my door jams, I used about 2/3 volts when I put a plate in, the metal was quite thick. When I did it in nearly same spot but only a very small hole which I tacked up I varied between 1 and 2V. Couldn't remember what wire speed I used. That was done with a industrial gas mig, got same results with a cheapish gas mig as well.
  20. the old one was old, rusty and just generally f@$ked. Just ask handiman he saw the old one. Also would not be the gauge or sender as when my manifold heat plate thing was leaking coolant and there was barely any coolant left the gauge started to go up.
  21. Checked when I flushed my cooling system and mine had a thermostat in it and still would only sit 1/4 of the way up the guage, and I put a new one in and still does the same thing.
  22. Ye, I wouldn't mind getting one of those rooftop tent things that fold out into a tent on your roof, then I could just put the stuff in the back. Otherwise I was thinking if I plan to stay on the roads I was looking at some old vans that have been fixed up.
  23. If it has rego I could just drive it back to brissy. Also what about that 94 cruiser I put a link to?
  24. Found this on carsales, http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=12852D0785EA 94 model crusier, diesel, with reg and rwc for $4800 but has nearly 350xxxkms
  25. Thanks, ill keep looking around for a diesel troopy that is cheapish.
