  1. Gear ratios would play a big part too and where you lined them up side by side to race them, i.e qtr mile? circuit racing, ect no real way to define which would be better. Also as ke70dave said about NA cars with a decent amount of power will have a larger cam which doesn't make power till higher rpm. Then you have cars like Honda with v-tech way to many variables for there to be a clear winner.
  2. We had a look for one and found a place that makes them built into the window but didn't make any for their car.

  4. Not for that car though I also said would like to see how you do that, got to have a little drive of one of the cars :laff: was lots of fun! They are looking for a way to defog the windscreen down there cause they have no fan or anything he was trying to look for a strip type thing similar to a rear window demister or something like that but couldn't find anything.
  5. Guy at work that races old v8 commodores is trying to make something to run ac off the diff, haha. There going in the Tasmanian targa soon so I suppose ac would be nice for a 1500km or so race.

  7. Ye thought that both lcas would be the same, I know what you mean with the steering arms nearly put mine on the wrong way cause I got T3 ones now but just looked at the old ones that have a L and R on them.

  11. ah, hows your wheel alignment? I hit a gutter once with the old 13" jellybeans I had seemed to be ok just stuffed the alignment up. Also how is yours for play in the steering with the steering box?

  13. The T18 ones seem to be pretty long to, or are ra40 even longer? they have that amount of adjustment and then the same in the rest of the tube.
  14. T18 tie rod ends?, here is a picture of the box setup looks like it can be extended much longer, I just put corona lcas in and still can wind them out a fair bit.

Are you talking about positive camber or toe? if you are talking about positive camber did you jack the lca's up so they where up as if the wheel was all the way down on the ground with load on the suspension? or did you just put it all together and tighten it all up? Don't want to hijack thread but is there any special way to bolt the steering arm to the ball joint?

  20. you can get airbag kits to suit ae86 so shouldn't be too hard, rear might be?
  21. You will need to spend some money on short stroke inserts then otherwise it will be just as illegal as cut springs if there not captive.

  23. ive got my old std cut springs from my T18 here if you end up cutting them and want to know how much to cut off.

Update time, got my new coilovers, rcas, ae86 ps arms and brakes, getting the rotors machined (was thinking new slotted rotors but not sure its worth it) and waiting for my cambertops and new lower control arms, painted the coilovers black so they don't stick out like dog balls like the gold color they where and rebuilding the brake calipers before I put them on. Swapping over the cw and pinion to a 4.3 instead of the 4.8, and starting on the little bit of rust, also swapped the big bulky supercheap bucket seats for some ra celica ones which are very nice. Flaring the rear guards too and might get some bolt on spacers so I keep the rear track similar to the increase that will be there when the new front end is installed, also going to get a ke70 steering shaft out of my mates ke70 then I will have all the items for a steering rack conversion no more play in the steering wheel, oh and get a lock spacer for the rack. Also might be buying a MX5 to drive daily so I can focus on getting everything done on this car to make it perfect. Is there anywhere to apply for club rego in QLD?
