  1. I just realised I have never posted in this thread and I have been here for ages. Name: NoPsi Real Name: Craig Location: Brisbane Car (I think you mean truck): 1986 4runner lowered 15" on 18"wires. I've had 4 corollas previously. One std ae82, one rusty ke20, a supercharged ae92 and an ae86 Trueno. I'm sure there will be another corolla somewhere along the line. Perhaps AE71 with mild 20v and plenty of negative camber. Like an atmo version of my old Datto 1200.
  2. I love it. I wish I still had a race car running big track and wild camber. :D
  3. IE hates you too. It's a to way street.
  4. Not as dumb as I look eh. :y:
  5. Failing that don't bother putting your starter back in and just carry a car full of mates to push start you wherever you go. (As you can see I am being very helpful here as I have not delved into the murky depths of starter motors.)

OOOOhhhhh you make it sound soooo easy. Your better off putting a 16v head on as it is far less hassle. Even that is no walk in the park. Are you planning on using std engine management??? You will need to change taht as your std computer is not going to run a 4a head and fuel system. You could do the dodgy and integrate your 7a injectors and distributor and stuff but as Tom'sGPturbo found out on his GPcorolla turbo conversion this is not a good option. Do a search on toymods as there was some info on there ages ago. I also spoke to a guy who rallied a 7afe powered corolla on there too about how strong the bottom ends are. PLenty of $$$ there for shotpeening, de-burring, and balancing etc of the rods. The 7age will not revv as high as the 4age either. As for turboing, I hope you have plenty of spare cash. Things you need to consider are fuel pump, injectors, intercooler, engine management manifold and turbo and a good tuner otherwise you will be spending a lot of money on an engine that will be an unreliable hand grenade. This is going to sound really boring and make me sound like the old fart taht I am but enjoy the car for what it is, a cheap and economical daily driver and spend your money on a fun car that you can afford to have off the road for weeks at a time. Otherwise get used to public transport.
  7. The only way your going to find out is pull the strut out again and have a fiddle.
  8. Has the timing belt snapped? Because it would be about due again if the engine is at 233 000kms.
  9. Holy crap. I stumbled across this thread and now I wish I hadn't. Eek!!
  10. Knobs? Be sure to wear your driving gloves so you don't get friction burns when using it.
  11. NickAE86: I do what I can when I am not impersonating Indian police officers. I like Fook's idea for the speedo but the last one should "Did you pack your brown undies??"

  13. Sooo jealous!!! Thinking about building turbo hilux or triton for next year if the business goes well. :P
  14. When I have money again one day i will come back out and play. Good luck to all of you entering.
  15. No offence but it may be the way you drive. That's one explanation that comes to mind. You remember how I used to launch the trueno? That was a JDM T50 box. The only reason it went crunchy in 2nd and 3rd was because I had no clutch one night and kept racing.
  16. nav devil. Hehehe. My friends refer to it as the bitch seat.
  17. Wooot!!! Motorkhana and khanacross!!
