eBay - Well, mainly the pricks who use autobid and outbid me with seconds to go on items I'm desperate for.

My lady friend is currently trying to buy me a nice necklace and it seems this prick likes toying with people.

Tempted to report him to ebay for donkey bids.

Its called sniping and I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. In reality its the eBay setup that allows for it. Ive seen other solutions that increase the auction time (by an hour from memory) if its bid on moments before it closes to allow other people to thwart the snipers. Seems to work well at stopping sniping but has other disadvantages (i.e. sellers extending their own auctions).

yahoo.jp also does this, it extends it by 5 mins whenever there's a bid inside the last few minutes.

I found out today that our "spokesperson" was given a raise above the normal rate (even though his job is not entitled to the pay rate) and thus there was no futher negotiations. Kinda explains why he was fighting for a higher yearly increase and then suddenly rolled over and took what they offered in the first round. This was disclosed by an employee who resigned yesterday over a pay dispute (mind you he'd only been back with the company for a few weeks).

So...anyone know of any IT/Mining/LAB Tech jobs out there?

 

And... Should I be contacting the workplace Ombudsmen?

I gave him $51.15 and he says "What's the dollar coin for"?? Duh :)

Then he didn't know who much change to give me and i said $35 and he looked really confused. WTF!!

I'm a Holden and Toyota guy myself so no big deal dodging FALCONS, just a part of daily life.

 

while i was in perth for my girls 18th we had to go visit her dad so i had my girl (18) in her mums car with her 2 brothers in the back (15&16) and i was driving. decided to stop in at the HJ in the Warwick/Hammersley area FOR JUST SOME ONION RINGS. so i cut thru the empty car park and face the drive thru parralel to the entrance and to the left is a FALCON a little way back from the entrance.

 

i drive in and roll down the window. next thing i get is a little skinny smeg yellin at me for apparantly cutting him off, so i decide to chuck it into reverse. moved back all of 6 INCHES and hit this FALCON while the guys standing at my window. so i floor it and pull out of the drive thru and park behind the shops. Girlfriend and bro hop out to check out the damage while i stay in the car.

 

This FALCON comes from the other way and the guy jumps out from the passenger side so I'm calling for everybody to get back in the car. FINALLY the get back and this guys just about at the front of the car. SLAM it into reverse(auto) and drive backwards tryin to get away from him. he cut across the front of the car so i whacked it into drive and floored it. with the window still open i copped a hard punch to the jaw. got away for a bit. stopped at a servo filled up.

 

Went back to get one of the brothers who had gon back to get the guys rego. as we pick him up they spot us again and we take off. lost them once again. i decide its too risky and head back to the girlfriends mums place. as we head back they spot us once more and its on, they couldnt keep up as i was flyin doin 120 on a 60 road :dance:.

 

Thought we lost them and went back to her place, me girlfriend and her brothers jump out and bang on the front door this FALCON rocks up at the driveway. the guys staning at the end of the drive and at that moment a friend of my girlfriends family who trains in MMA flies out the door and get in this blokes face. the guys missus jumps her skanky ass out of the car and cries "I GOT KIDS IN THE CAR". so the mate backs down real quick and these randoms piss of real quick.

 

I havent since driven another FORD or been in a FALCON. and only just had HJ's again last week, keep in mind all of this stuff happend in may.

 

now i try to steer clear of any EF-EL falcons in a darkish blue colour.

Yep I'm with ya there dfunkt....some of them just can't drive. and some of them can actually drive

 

I'm a P plater, but i actually wanna keep my licence. i don't drive like a dick. i've never been pulled over by the po-po even when i driving the ute, cus i give em no reason to.
