Having $600 in a super fund that I can't withdraw, while it is decreasing in value. But hey, all that matters is that in 40 years time I'll be able to get that... oh... wait... by then there won't be any money left! f@$kING RETARDED PIECE OF SHIT SYSTEM.

Can you transfer it to another fund? Most supers you can consolidate into one quite easily.

roll it into one of your other super funds, you should really only have one fund, and have everything put into that one fund, then you're not paying out fees for each one and watching it whittle away to nothing...

I'm in virtually the same boat. I have two super funds and i've been watching them shrink for a while now that I'm a subbie that has to add my own super. I need to consolidate them both into one and I was thinking of at the end of the financial year dropping 1k into it so the gov will match my 1k too. The way I see it is the interest i'll have to pay them on not paying 1k of my tax will be alot less than the 1k they just gave me.

Yes I could, but when you transfer between funds, you have to do it in its entirety. Also, you can't withdraw money out of a fund if the balance of the fund is above $200, which means that even if I did transfer it, I couldn't get it out. They really do make sure that you can't get at it if it's worth anything... I'm thinking I'll just wait until so many fees get taken off that it gets to $200... :y:

The fees were apparently due to the "share market being crap" or something.. not to do with any transfers as I haven't touched this particular fund - it was created when I started working at a job agency.

WGMG, Because i wear shorts at work my knees get really dirty, but then everytime I have a shower i can't see the dirtiness of them, so I think i'm totally clean and get out of the shower. I go to my room and start drying myself off when I realise that my knees are still dirty!! Damn that pisses me off!!

WGMG is drunk people with no respect!!

Last night i was designated driver and when I pulled up at this party one of my mates asked if I could pick up one of his mates and a few other people for petrol money, I thought why not, it'll only take 15mins. So I pick him up and the other people who i don't even know. He askes if we could go through drive thru at McDonalds and because I was hungry I agreed. Just as we left macca's we pulled up to an intersection turning right, where there was also a cop turning left. The mate decided to be a dick and yelled out 'Piggy Piggy' to him. Which made him reverse up and start following me. He pulled me over and asked for my licence. That's when I realised that I gave my wallet to a good mate of mine because i was afraid it would fall out of my trackies at the party we were at. So I said to him that my mate had my wallet. Then he asked me to rev my exhaust and as soon as I did he said 'Thought so, could you please step out the car?' So I did. He said to me that I have a leak in my exhaust because it was backfiring a bit. I said sorry for it and that I'll get it fixed asap. He then told me that I got pulled over because of my stupid 'mate'. We talked for a bit while he took down my details. Luckily he saw that I was a good kid and wasn't going to defect my car and was only going to give me a caution for not having my licence on me. While he was filling his paperwork out we had a bit of a conversation and realised that he's actually an assistant coach for my footy clubs A grade team. Jokes were told and it was all good after that. He even said that if he had known I played for the footy club he would've let me off no worries. He said I was free to go but he wanted to talk to my 'mate' first. So he did, told me that he'd see me during the week and went off. When we drove off I told my passenger that it was entirely his fault that I got pulled over in the first place. He said he was 'sorry' and I dropped him off. So that's what grinds my gears, drunk people with no respect.

the beauty of power windows and the ability to lock them :laff:

that and you were very lucky, in the sense of getting a cop that knows you, plus if it had been a younger cop that was new to the force he would have reamed you hardcore :lolcry:

Yea I know I got heaps lucky... But he didn't even realise that i was part of the footy club til after he just gave me a Caution. Lesson is, don't be a dick to cops and they won't be a dick to you. It was quite funny because when I was standing outside his car I noticed a maccas bag on his passenger seat and I said "Looks like I wasn't the only one doing a maccas run aye?" Then he laughed. Quite a good bloke really :lolcry:

When i got my defect, the cop could have sent me straight to regency. but i treated himw witht eh respect i expected and he was a good bloke. I guess when your 5'6" and the cop you get is like 7'4" dressed in motorcyle leathers, respect is a given :lolcry:

WGMG - the hire car that we're having to drive while the lancer is getting its panels beatin'

Its an '07 holden Barina selfshifter shut box - 70 bucks a day to drive this horrid piece of crap for a whole week of pure torture. It supposedly has a 1.6litre twincam under its bonnet the tacho red lines at 7 grand, but i'm so glad foot flat to the floor it shifts gears at around 5 grand its its its :P its to bother some anywhere near that to say the least of it... otherwise the gearshift from 1st to 2nd is nice and smooth - it just revs the ring out of itself as it changes gears drops back down to a lower rev and your in 2nd (lancer has a little jolt about it)... sit in the drivers seat and its like sitting in a babies highchair, almost have to lean over to reach the handbrake and yet to see where the bonnet ends just about have to stand up, anything past the washer jets is a deadzone. On that, visibility around the thing is shocking to say the least (lancer has a few poor spots...). Lever for the fuel cap - check its down between the drivers highchair and the door. Now where is the damn boot release lever - i'll be damned if i'm using the remote all the time... hang on, its the little button on the drivers door next to the speaker.

Crikey i could just go on and on about the poo on wheels....

Yes it does have a couple of good things about it and one being that we hand the bucket of crude back on saturday :(

Edit - driving at night is like playing Russian roulette - Braille by torch light would be easier
