The 6 in my ute did a HG. Welcome to the world of Cast Iron Inline 6 heads.

 

Had 2 people to lift the sucker out. and I managed to put it back on alone.

 

f@$kin thing is still missing and worse than before. now it wont idle either.

 

 

Cruisin round in an RN85 till i fix it. the ol 22RC still goes like shit off a shovel

Breaking down during a terrential downpour on my way home from work. The clip that holds the clutch cable in place at the firewall decided to fly off somewhere. Managed to solve the issue with a hose clamp which got me the 20kms home. Luckily it happened 50 metres away from boostworx so they helped me out. Got absolutely saturated down to my underwear though :jamie:. Note to self: always have a spare pair of underwear in your boot somewhere. You never know when your gonna need them.

Jason KE30, you shoulda just stopped it at lights and started it in first. Not hard to rev match and change gears without a clutch. Done that before to get home.

True. But I could barely get the damn thing started again cause my distributor was full of water which always seems to happen when it rains heavily.

Fair enough. Is the original splash shield still underneath the car?

 

You could try running a thin bead of silicon around the dizzy cap to keep that H2O at bay.

Haha come to think of it I haven't ever gotten around to puttin that splash sheild back on after I took it off for some reason or another (memory fades me). Should probably get around to doin that sometime soon. It might also be the fact that I have two massive gaping holes in my bonnet :jamie:. Thats ok though cause I have a new bonnet going on soon. I would update my rides thread cause I've done a fair bit to the old 30 now but my damn camera broke.

I wouldnt like to have to clutchless change whilst driving in traffic. having to get back out of neutral into gear would suck the ass

Actually, with a bit of practice it's not that hard. The big bummer is traffic lights. Reduction starters are your friend. :jamie:

The guy at the wreckers charging me $5 for a new clip for the clutch cable. The damn this is probably worth less than 5 cents.

Well its been half a year, or 50 pages since I last posted. And I still haven't lost my lead :jamie:

 

Just one thing to complain about.

My heart is well out of warranty and found out today I might have to send it back for more repairs. It all makes sense now. Why I sleep all night and sleep all day, then still want to sleep more. I can't do anything without being tired. Kissed the gym goodbye, might as well kiss the 6 pack goodbye too. :) It explains why I'm out of breath all the time, the constant chest pains, why I can't stop coughing, the dizziness or the fact I feel faint if I go for a jog. So no more jogging too ;) Now I have to go see my specialist to find out whats next. I really don't want my chest opened again. I hope that technology in the past 23 years has improved.

And it looks like the P&O Cruise may be off for me as I've read P&O might not let me on and I can't get insurance :D Anyone want to go on a cruise ship with my two sisters?? lOl
