towe001 Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Did and done. I'm now interested in whats going to happen. Went around the wreckers here in town chasing after a couple of parts for the front end of my thing. First port of call "Nope sorry, the fronts been cut off" "Damn, ok thanks" :( Second port of call "Nar mate they all got washed away in the flood" "Bugger, i wondered about that with being close to the creek." ..... Started to walk back to the car and spotted a '55 sitting on top of the other wrecks, went back in and asked about it. ..... "Nar mate thats an escort" :blinks: Quote
Trev Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Dob her in. Saw some mail come in at work last night with a note written on it about a lady who is using a friends address so she can claim centrelink and the flood assistance. There are people out there that need it more. As for myself I may have been floodbound, couldn't get to work, had no power and lost food. But there are other people that are more hard done by and I surely didn't loose anywhere near $1,000 worth of food/wages. You certainly are a decent guy, I really do think that they should of handed out a $500 food voucher to coles/woolies/IGA for people that lost power, a lot of people just went out and blew it on shit. I can tell you now that the $2800 + $680 isn't much when you lose all your stuff, hoping to get the government flood grant now too. Quote
philbey Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) "Would have", NOT "would of!" if we had a video fone they would of been talking with there hands! :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: EDIT - I just noticed you even used "there" instead of "their" Edited January 31, 2011 by philbey Quote

JiP Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 I AM SO ANGRY!! Woken up with the housemates feral pet in my room. Now I'm trapped and its somewhere under my bed. The landlord has told him no pets, do I have the right to call the RSPCA as it also illegal to have it in this state? Tho I'd rather the landlord kick them both out together. Quote
philbey Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Haha, all good, I've been hearing people say of a lot lately and It's driving me insane. Even on the TV people keep saying it.... Jip what the hell is this pet you speak of? Quote
towe001 Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Cyclones. How are you and the other RCers up your way copping ? It's a ferret. I was under the impression that a ferret comes under the same law as a rabbit - need a permit in qld to keep one. Thats what happened to us when we moved back up here, but dad couldn't see the point of a permit for the ferret and a permit for the rabbit Quote
7shades Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Bit hairy up this way... Currently a Cat5 predicted to cross just south of Cairns. Just for perspective, that's Hurricane Katrina style shiznit. I've evac'd from my place as its only 1m above sea level... Storm surge will be 2.4 metres over the high tide... Hiding up in the hills now :D Needless to say I've moved the JZX to higher ground :) Quote
