BUZ440 Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 not being able to get finance because i pay my loans off too quickly WTF?! that is odd, I'm a homeowner and i get approvals for loans and credit cards all the time, haha Quote
philbey Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 People in the Cars for Sale area continually wanting to swap..... The forum rules should be changed so that if someone does not nominate that they are looking to swap then the person who offers gets a warning, then repeated attempts get hit with the ban stick.... Luke it shits me too. It's been raised in the past, all I can say is this: If a seller clearly nominates "no swaps" or is specific on what they wish to swap, then we will immediately delete stupid posts. This goes on constantly, "nice car", "I wish I could afford this" etc, we delete them all the time. Every bloody day... Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 not being able to get finance because i pay my loans off too quickly WTF?! Makes sense. Banks etc make money off the interest from your loans, so if you pay them off too quickly then they don't get as much interest and thus don't make as much money. Quite a few will actually have penalty fees for paying loans off before a certain time period (say half the length of the loan). Quote
cinky Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 6 months of a 5 year loan. is that too quickly? Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 6 months of a 5 year loan. is that too quickly? I'd say so. The 5 year loan we got for the Soarer has a fee if you pay it off in less than 2 years. Quote

cinky Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 well the only reason i pay them out is because i want a new loan. and i always go with the same company. and don't pay the old loan out with the new one. i pay it out with cash then apply for a new one but they still don't wanna give me money and it totally sucks balls Quote

Trev Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 not being able to get finance because i pay my loans off too quickly WTF?! Yeah it is crap, I wanted to boost my credit rating so I asked for a loan and then asked if I could pay it back within a month (was only 1000 bucks) but they said the only way to get a good credit rating is to make payments, is yours any good? Credit rating isn't about how quick you can pay off loans (anyone can have a chunk of cash floating around), it is your ability to make regular reliable payments over a long period of time (ie repayment security) that they look out for. LukeAE71 Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Not a clever idea... Increases the chance of identity theft Please explain how someone can steal my identity via my mobile telephone number. I am being serious... I have posted my number on all for sale ads so I'm curious  I registered for the forum concerned, sent my pm and lost nearly half hour of my life. If the item turns out to already be sold I'm going to have more than ground gears! :bash: Quote
