that manifold on ebay is the goods

the angle of the runners moves the carbs away from the booster so you can run nice long trumpets instead of being limited to 40 odd mm items as anything larger hits the aforementioned booster :jamie:

good buy seeing it also has a linkage kit, Redline does them new costs heaps more and isn't a great manifold due to the clearance issue.

i'm sure you know but for those who don't most jap manifolds are slanted forwards to suit RWD, the angle of the runners moves the carbs away from the booster so you can run nice long trumpets instead of being limited to 40 odd mm items as anything larger hits the aforementioned booster :jamie:

Did a little bit to the wiring today such as install the headunit properly (speakers are not in the car yet) and return the horns power scource to the original wiring so there isnt wires running everywhere, I modified the twincam wheel so the horn works on the ae71, One thing i can't find is the bloody reverse light switch on the T50 ;)

I'm paying for the carby manifold today, The seller allowed me to extend the payment time as lost my income for the last 4 weeks, I have also just started working for road and track which specialise in toyota so parts and work is on hand so this van should be done very soon.....I hope.

I put power to the started to make sure nothing hits in the bellhousing area and to make sure the starter engages correctly and it wnet the way it was supposed to and all i did was bolt the T50 up to the engine that came out of the seca, No mods or changes, The box will be coming back off so i can put the exedy in and a spigot bearing, I also might be getting my flywheel lightend majorly at work but I'm not sure yet, Carby manifold is supposed to be here friday, Carbs should be kitted in the next 2 weeks and the engine will be in but i don't have any extractors as yet, Here is a vid of the engine winding over:

Ive heard stories about stock flywheels breaking apart from lightening ?

Good to see this is moving along again :)

Yeah i know some are capable of it but out of all the ones they have made at work none of them have broken and they arent used in stock applications, I think its also where you take the metal out that matters.

Curious to see how light they can make it. I think mine is 5.5kg, and it has the edges removed and the back hollowed out from the factory. Ill try find a pic. Do they remove any material from the edge?

They remove it from the face edge and the back of it, I will get some pics tomorrow.
