I also corrected the front end camber problem last weekend.

I got these off here, s13 strut tops.

As expected, there is a fair bit of slotting involved to fit them,

so instead i opted to make some new top plates for them, so they fit the car perfectly.

I used 6mm steel, out of an old chassis rail i found out the back.

Yep, fully licenced and driving like an angel :)

Great to meet all the rollaclub crew today, my memory sucks, but good to see you all! :)

The wheels i had on my car today are simply too wide to lower it,

so i will have to decide on some for the future, the sigma wheels are going on for now.

Thanks for the calipers Matt 8/

:P time for updates,

CIMG2051.jpg

well, not good.

On friday on my way home from work at noosa,

i pulled onto the highway and tried to accelerate and the old girl wouldnt do it,

in fact, it slowed down instead, so i pulled over and she stalled,

opening the bonnet it was pretty clear what was wrong! i cooked it :P (i now recommend working temp gauges)

so she now suffers from a bhg, with compression escaping into the water. :(

So after hiring a trailer to get it home, i sit there remembering how many issues this car has had over the past few months,

in fact I'm pretty sure i work on it every arvo!!!

So i am considering:

selling the car

putting another 4k in

rebuilding the 5k

sr20de + auto.

Either way a bit of reliability is the goal, i prefer to work on the ke30! :D

oh yeh, i know its my own fault because i should have got the temp gauge working........... :jamie:

I don't think the pictures do the car justice. From real life, the car looks like a overrated original-old school cruiser. whilst i think the front wheels stand out a little like dogs balls (lol), the rest of the car you could eat off.

Keep at it, someone else would be enjoying your pride and joy otherwise !

Just re-build the 5k buddy. Pretty cheap, can do it in a day/weekend and you've got the skills!!!

And then you've got the piece of mind of another 20 years of happy motoring!!!! :P
