oh what a nissan feeling! Posted October 3, 2008 Author Report Posted October 3, 2008 Heres some of the pics from my stud pattern change to 114, so both my cars can share wheels. Thanks heaps for your help, redwarf rob, matt, and duggy. :y: ke25 and ke30 axels chop a bit off Its all finished now but the camera is flat, just have to bleed the brakes. :hmm: Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted October 4, 2008 Author Report Posted October 4, 2008 (edited) I also corrected the front end camber problem last weekend. I got these off here, s13 strut tops. As expected, there is a fair bit of slotting involved to fit them, so instead i opted to make some new top plates for them, so they fit the car perfectly. I used 6mm steel, out of an old chassis rail i found out the back. All done, i painted them blue, and they are now in the car and work a treat :hmm: Edited November 25, 2008 by oh what a nissan feeling! Quote
78_7kRolla Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 Well done matt. It's so great to see progress happening with your multiple beasts. Have you got your license back yet?? All the best Quote

oh what a nissan feeling! Posted October 5, 2008 Author Report Posted October 5, 2008 Yep, fully licenced and driving like an angel :) Great to meet all the rollaclub crew today, my memory sucks, but good to see you all! :) The wheels i had on my car today are simply too wide to lower it, so i will have to decide on some for the future, the sigma wheels are going on for now. Thanks for the calipers Matt 8/ Quote
WinKE55 Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 Sweet ride man, seen you today with the rc bunch. Nice to meet you and all. Keep up the good work man. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted November 25, 2008 Author Report Posted November 25, 2008 :P time for updates, well, not good. On friday on my way home from work at noosa, i pulled onto the highway and tried to accelerate and the old girl wouldnt do it, in fact, it slowed down instead, so i pulled over and she stalled, opening the bonnet it was pretty clear what was wrong! i cooked it :P (i now recommend working temp gauges) so she now suffers from a bhg, with compression escaping into the water. :( So after hiring a trailer to get it home, i sit there remembering how many issues this car has had over the past few months, in fact I'm pretty sure i work on it every arvo!!! So i am considering: selling the car putting another 4k in rebuilding the 5k sr20de + auto. Either way a bit of reliability is the goal, i prefer to work on the ke30! :D oh yeh, i know its my own fault because i should have got the temp gauge working........... :jamie: Quote
Doogs Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Damn, thats a little annoying. What other issues have you had recently with it ? Keep plugging at it, please don't sell it. Quote
JiP Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Man that sux mate. She's a beautiful car, I wouldn't sell. She's go hard with a nice 5K in her. Quote
Teddy Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 I don't think the pictures do the car justice. From real life, the car looks like a overrated original-old school cruiser. whilst i think the front wheels stand out a little like dogs balls (lol), the rest of the car you could eat off. Keep at it, someone else would be enjoying your pride and joy otherwise ! Quote
Taz_Rx Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Just re-build the 5k buddy. Pretty cheap, can do it in a day/weekend and you've got the skills!!! And then you've got the piece of mind of another 20 years of happy motoring!!!! :P Quote
PHATKE20S Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 so she now suffers from a bhg, with compression escaping into the water. :hmm: Oh NOOOOO............. :P So i am considering: selling the car I know a bloke who would buy it :)  Quote
