just out of curoisty what are you doing with the carby cause you will ether have to have it as a suck through (seals don't last very long on normal turbo's that way) or blow through (have to build a presurised box to put carby in so that the carby wont blow its self apart and make's tuning very hard) put injection of a 5k starlet motor? on easyer cheaper to both assemble and tune plus u have injection that way to

only the 4K-E and 7K-E came with fuel injection.

iv just managed to score myself a 4K-E injection setup, whcih I'm gonna have a bit of a play around with and stuff,

are charade turbo pistons dished or flat top ?

could always use 4K-U pistons which i think are quite dished ?

hey guys sorry i havent replied in a while my internet doesnt work too well lately! stupid dial-up! just a few things...

*does anyone have more info on fitting the 1ggt pistons into a 4k?

*does anyone know where i can source a fuel injetction? as i was goin to run a 350 holley with smaller jets and plastic floats in a blowthrough setup but apparently they have bad flat spots in them?

*also I'm trying to track down a 5k dizzy (don't laugh i know they are hard to find but someone must have one!!! lol) would anyone have one?

You`ll find 1ggte pistons will fit alright as Mr Revhead has said i`m guessing the person he`s refering to is Matt Dunn.I don't believe that 1ggte rods are any different to that of late normal k series rods perhaps Mr Revhead can do a part number crossreference.1ge pistons have the valve cutouts the wrong way around to suit k series but thats no biggy, you cannot turn the pistons the other way round as the pins are offset on them yes pins are 18mm.1g pistons are std 75mm bore same as 4k.Like someone said earlier build a n/a motor lots easier wont hole pistons when you get something wrong unless you really screw up,or build a strong 5k plenty of torque when built correctly.

1GGZ pistons have a 20 mm pin, pin height 32.5. ......NA 1Gs have 18mm pins, same pin height.

K series have 18mm pin, 36mm pin height.

to fit the 1GGZ pistons and rods correctly (to have any squish/quench to help prevent detonation), the 1G rods would have to be 3.5 mm longer.

5k rods are slightly different to 4k rods. a bit thicker across the beam, probably to deal with the extra piston mass. would be different part numbers.
