September 18, 200818 yr comment_275921 Hi If you've bought tires for a KE** that you're happy with, I'd like to hear you rant about it. KE70 preferred. Why they're good, the fact that you got a good deal, what situations on the road were improved, how they go in the wet ... my front tires lose traction before the back.... didn't do that before Report
September 18, 200818 yr comment_275947 or change driving style, i run silverstone firefoxes on my ke20 with the standard 12X4 rims. they will understeer if you let them. i have learnt to get the weight transfer over the front and then steer. and only to accelerate when in a straight line. also i have put a 16mm sway bar in the back of my car, best investment i have made. September 22, 200818 yr comment_276525 upgrade swaybars, then worry about tyres. What size/make do you suggest ? Are Whiteline ok ? I have heard a few people have strong and differing opinions on this, and the options available. Report
September 22, 200818 yr comment_276529 get some good tyres on the front. i loved it when i was running 205/50R15 toyo T1R on the front with a 13" steelie on the back. best fun ever and the grip was sensational from those tyres. absolutely loved them Report
September 22, 200818 yr comment_276551 i ran some 205/50/15 simex tyres on my ke70, and i could not get the thing to understeer 1 bit, only $100 ea fitted Report
September 22, 200818 yr comment_276561 Not a big fan of the Simex tyres, I put a set of Kumho tyres on mine and instantly noticed a lot better grip. Report

I have heard a few people have strong and differing opinions on this, and the options available. i run a whiteline 16mm in the back of my ke20, it has improved the handling no end. i didn't really do much research on it, it just came up cheap on ebay. September 22, 200818 yr comment_276630 To me simex are budget tires, but it's not as if they are going on a ferrari or lambo so they will hold up fine over anything that is on the uglier side of 3yrs old. And yes driving style makes a huge difference. Report
September 23, 200818 yr comment_276689 i go with a 195/50/15 federal 595 evos on a 15 by 6.5" rim wicked grip never understeer and ive got whiteline sway bars they were the best mod i have ever done Report
September 23, 200818 yr comment_276772 i got some cheap and nasty $50 nangkangs or something. they are cheap, and nasty lol. but i don't drive hard anyway so they are perfect for my situation. i can't really comment on tyres but when i went from 13x6 to 14x7 wheels i really noticed a massive difference in the wet and the car doesnt follow bumps and grooves in the road like it used to. interested in some swaybars now though :-) Report
September 23, 200818 yr comment_276832 I had some slippy Hankooks on the back of my 25 when i had it. I stuck them on the front because the old ones were scrubbing. Went to drift a corner and being slippies they uh...Slipped. the front wheels broke traction at the same time as the rears and thats how i put the 25 into a kerb. so yea, Hankook slippies are good tires for street dorifto but no good for front wheels. Whadda ya expect for $30 a pr Report
September 23, 200818 yr comment_276858 i got some free retreads with my car they never slipped on hotmix in the wet but now i got cheap bluestreaks and there skid monkeys compared to my old retreads Report
September 23, 200818 yr comment_276900 Springs, shocks, swaybars. In that order for replacement. I have some Falken Azenis 175/60-14 that rocked my little world. Bit soft for a road car but. Report
