It’s been a little while between updates …. I have been sorting out the radiator.

I wanted a bigger then standard radiator so the only way it was going to happen was to do some slight modification to the radiator support.

The below pictures shows where I was going to make for a bigger radiator (see the white line as a guide line ~ being equal distance from the centre of the car)

The result

After contacting PWR about core thicknesses, I made up a dummy radiator (out of timber full size) to see if it will fit with the engine/engine bay.

It all measured up how I planned so I placed an order to have a new twin core radiator made up to my specifications and about 3 weeks later it arrived.

All fitted up with new radiator supports welded in.

I hate uploading photos, it’s so much mucking around…

Hit the cam covers with some paint stripper and then a little bit of polishing.

I thought about buying one of the Carbon fibre things that do not fit properly, and I think a plastic look would not look right on a vehicle of this age (and I like shiny things) :)

Finished off all of the wiring over the last couple of weeks with the last of it being the wires that run from the battery in the boot. The battery wires are 50mm² which are huge. They run through the car, coming out through the firewall into the engine bay.

The list to do is getting smaller and smaller, the next thing to do is the intercooler and piping and the oil cooler.
