Hi All,

My brother is looking for a car and just wants some specs on a Toyota Corona. He is looking at the 84-87 models (T142 i believe the model is). Does anyone know what sort of motor they use? I know they mainly had 2.0L motors but some CSI/Avante models had 2.4L's. He wants a corona particularly cos its rear wheel drive and he wants something a bit bigger than a corolla, but still a legendary toyota.

Does anyone have any ideas about what motors these cars had, and whether they were carby/efi, powerful or not (kw), good on the fuel etc etc.

Cheers

oh and i have googled but my search didnt come up all that fruitful.

ST142 came with the 2S-C which is a 2 litre Carby Engine.

RT14x (Avante models) came with the 22R-C or 22R-E

does anyone know the power/torque specs for either of these motors?
