Instigator Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 I stick my head in now and then to see what's going on but tbh it's the amount of shit content on the site that's put me off coming here daily like I used to. I'm another one that's started typing replies then ended up not bothering because I felt the advice would be ignored or it would just degenerate into a useless flame war. I generally hit New Posts on the forums I visit and go through and read what interests me. More often than not lately I struggle to find a thread or car on the first 5 pages that's worth reading about. I've been on a number of cruises and met a few good blokes off here. I've got nothing against dumb teenagers, we were all one once, but a bit of moderation wouldn't go astray. Not sure exactly what the situation is at the moment but I think the forum could only benefit from some more control over the content. Things like spelling and punctuation should be at least attempted, makes all the difference to the reader. Having shithouse threads removed daily would also be a good start. HTH Quote

Doesn't help that I haven't had a KE in about 2 and a half years, and none of the other cars have been enough of a project to make an on-going mods thread worthwhile, they're more "I drive this, here are some pretty photos" then two weeks later "this has broken, got it fixed", followed by a bunch of tumbleweeds. Trev Posted December 3, 2010 Author Report Posted December 3, 2010 Heh, I'll blow y'all away with my AWD Twin Turbo Wagon Queen Family Truckster :D Legnums are good cars until you gotta pay to fix one. they have a lot of poke in them around corners. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) I just had an "answer question taking ages" moment. Then I re-read the question... *facepalm Edited December 3, 2010 by blzbub666 Quote
Nitephyre Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Legnums are good cars until you gotta pay to fix one. they have a lot of poke in them around corners. Luckily I bought a good one :) I haven't had to spend a shit heap of money on it and even with the 100k service coming up which with parts will total about 2k... I don't think that's too bad :) On topic though, 101 replies since yesterday, 99% of which will be uninteresting drivel... it's why I'm not around her much any more :) Quote

Redwarf Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Legnums are good cars until you gotta pay to fix one. Why have they named a car after a bean? :P Quote
philbey Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Legume? Instigator raises a good point, perhaps more moderation would help. To be honest I try to avoid moderating too much, if you have ever been on the jockey journal its renowned for having Nazi mods and I try not to be like that. But if the constant inane threads are turning away good valued members then thats pretty serious. More feedback people. Quote
Trev Posted December 4, 2010 Author Report Posted December 4, 2010 Why have they named a car after a bean? :P Bean? not as bad as the pajero. However, because pajero is a slang term for "wanker" in the Spanish language,[2] alternative names have been adopted for certain overseas markets. When my mate got a paji he said it was a wankers car, told me to look it up. Quote
Bamboo Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Why do make wanking sound like a bad thing. I'm an eggspurt. Quote
Trev Posted December 4, 2010 Author Report Posted December 4, 2010 Why do make wanking sound like a bad thing. I'm an eggspurt. Never, refer quote. Bart Simpson: Come on, man, everyone knows the first day of school is a total wank. Principal Skinner: Well, if by "wank" you mean educational fun, then stand back it's wanking time! Quote
JiP Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Well that last one looks like a winner!! Quote

Mason. Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Haha anyone else noticed that : 10 of the people that posted in this thread complianing about the lack of socialising are from Brisbane. And only 5, including myself are attending the christmas light cruise. I might be one of them f@$khead young 18 year old's, that loves older toyotas but know nothing about them, thats why I'm hear. To read what other people have done and hopefully not to follow their mistakes. haha but when a Brisbane cruise is taking place, and some senior members from the area can't even bother making an appearence. Whats the point in even trying? Quote
