67Rolla-Ken Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Ok, so not an LS1... I hear they go good in anything/everything  Quote
Jono.C Posted February 6, 2012 Author Report Posted February 6, 2012 Well, for the price, power and aftermarket support.. Can get it done cheaper than a 4age from what I've worked out, they're not overly heavy and the firewall can remain pretty much as is. GT28 of sorts, turbo manifold, external gate, arias forged internals and 16-18 pound should be more than enough trouble :P Quote
Jono.C Posted February 6, 2012 Author Report Posted February 6, 2012 I bought a ca last night :P it's at my mates shed still I reakon I'll leave it there til I'm ready for it. Let the part whoring begin :P Quote
Jono.C Posted February 6, 2012 Author Report Posted February 6, 2012 Baha! :lolcry: It'll work out considerably cheaper than 4age, put it that way. I wont start anything until i have every part i need to throw it all in. I want some time to just drive it as it is after all this work before i do it anyway. That said i might start making some engine mounts next week if i go down :) Quote
Jono.C Posted February 7, 2012 Author Report Posted February 7, 2012 20hp right here :rolls: FFFFFF me i need to fix that dent in the dash. It's perfect and rather sexual besides that  Quote
Jordain Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 even worse than an sr20...... ca18. Man I'm a little sad inside. Ah well should be a nice little pig and smash around a track lol. Quote
Jono.C Posted February 7, 2012 Author Report Posted February 7, 2012 How do you figure that a ca is worse? I reakon they're better. They're a miniature rb. They're insanely cheaper, 2/3rds the size of an sr, lighter. And once you chuck arp's in them and good bottom end bearings they love life. Quote
BlueKsev Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Dunno why everyone hates on Sr's and Ca's. I would love to have either of them sitting under my bonnet! This car + Ca is going to be awesome  Quote
Jono.C Posted February 7, 2012 Author Report Posted February 7, 2012 Mid mounted? :lolcry: New 5kc head rocked up today. Bigups to Stu kickn5k, Cheers mate!! Also this; Very haggard and cracked/ worn leather. To replace this bus wheel Spent some time sanding the old leather and used a leather repair-ness-ing kit Feels good! Sits close. You lose the auto indicator off with it but meh. Will be replaced with a nardi after rego anyway  Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Will it pass rego without those auto off indicator things? I love my twin cam steering wheel. Quote
Jono.C Posted February 7, 2012 Author Report Posted February 7, 2012 I know how i'm going to fix it. The twin cam wheel has an extra 2 holes in the back of the boss kit thing, you can see in the first photo. The ke10 wheel has 2 dowels in the back of the wheel just flick the indicators off. So i'm going to cut off some metal tube the right size and press it into the holes in the back of the twinky wheel, the spacing doesn't appear to matter Quote
kickn5k Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 New 5kc head rocked up today. Bigups to Stu kickn5k, Cheers mate!! No dramas. On the CA, I've just died a little inside!! CAs are cheap for a reason.haha. All these Nissan conversions going on, we may have to ask irokin to change the name of the forum to "TractorClub" hahaha 2 Quote
