To be fair though, posting that thing and having it remain in one piece would be a complete clusterʞ©$ɟ. A box probably 10cm bigger in length and width plus reasonably deep. Even though it doesn't weigh much you'd get stung on size.

And here i was thinking it was only the chinese that only did that.

Happens with America too. I found an AE82 TC leather steering wheel for AUD$18, postage from the US was quoted at AUD$150. :(

Good thing we have awesome people like Jono.C & B.L.Z.BUB who see our plights & offer solutions! :y:

The postal service In the US is pretty pricey at the best of times. Let alone air freight. We use an Australian based freight company for our work, but seeing as shipments are a half pallet roughly 400-500kgs it's still not cheap.

500kg being pricey I can understand, a steering wheel's 2kg, maybe 3kg with packaging. No forklifts required! :laff:

I know it was a sweet car , but just watched how they cleaned up in rally for some many years ! And they were going up against the delta and quatro !

??

The Sierras struggled in Group A rally - the RWD versions were outclassed on the gravel, so much so that they initially only got used for tarmac rallies, and the 4WD version was so underpowered that it didn't fare much better on the gravel and got booted in favour of the RWD model. Over the lifetime of the Sierra in the top level of World Rally, it won a grand total of 1 event, the '88 Corsica. The Delta and then the GT4 were by far and away the dominant cars of the era. The Esky was a much more successful rally car than the Sierra ever was.

In Group A Touring cars, however, the Sierra RS500 was an absolute monster.
