Looking good. sheet metal work with a stick welder- Thats dedication.

yeah its a bit crazy haha, found just the right size rods and the right amps so as it wont stick and wont blow holes, spent this week welding the bonnet to the cowl and fiberglassing it to make it one piece, going to be using one wiper from a hilux and modifying the motor and mechanism to have the arm swing 170 degrees.

 

i need to stop spending so much time thinking about shit as i nearly took to the rear of the ute with a grinder to chop the whole rear end out and shape it similar to a datsun 1200 ute, with the corner lights etc

Atleast you think when you have a grinder. I just start cutting. My front end is two cuts away from having to tube it

i was also thinking about doing that ^ haha

couple of shots of the damage done today lol. using a DMAX tail gate skin cut down to size for in between the tail lights, work the rest out from there hahah

 

 

lights like that wont last long on a drift car..... Id use stock lights with little metal mesh covers you see on trucks/trailers ;)

ah well, they're $58 a pair including postage on eBay so I'll just grab a couple of spare pairs lol I'd rather be happy with the look of the car in my self then sacrifice the looks for function..
