took the car for a bit of a road test drives well. calibrated the speedo but just having a problem with tacho not working, seems like a problem from the ecu signal. Got a set of s13 stockies for it to get ready for the pits. also finished flaring guards and gave the car a respray.

I got stoked on this car when I saw this photo:

But then I got heaps bummed out when I saw the next few photos of the engine failure. That is so unfortunate man!

As Dave said, what are you going to do to fix it?

Unlucky!!! whats the plan to fix that?

very nice work though, i love the paint job. nothing like new paint.

what sort of paint did you use? 2-pack?

Cranks off at the machine shop getting ground at the moment and I'm pricing up a set of forged piston, rods, arp studs, mls headgasket, etc.

The paint is just automotive acrylic so I'm

Really happy with how it turned out

Did you do a bearing? SR's love doing that.

Yerp spun big end number 3, apparently its really common

I ordered some parts from work today, after being messed around spending most the day on the phone, chopping and changing brands and suppliers i ended up with:

Scat h-beam rods

Wiseco 86.5mm 9:1 pistons and ring set

Arp head studs

Cometic mls pro street top end kit

Timing chain kit

Permaseal Valve cover gasket set

My cranks been ground up and i gave acl race main and big end bearing, and the blocks been hot washed ready to be decked and torque plate honed

More parts have been cleaned and painted

More stuff has come in

And have also orders bc 264 cams, springs, retainers and gears, tomei RAS, and new oil pump gears

Dropped head studs off on thursday so the block can be torque plate honed and should get it back this week some time.

Today i decided to do a bit in the engine bay. Got rid of the maf and replaced it with a pod filter adapter, 3-2.5 inch silicon reducer and a piece of straight 2.5inch pipe. Also got rid of all the egr stuff from the engine bay and started re routing my wiring and ignitor through the guard
