ae824ate
Why not go a dry sump and scavange pump setup maybe? Have you got any pics?
styler
Dry sumps are about $4000 for a basic setup and then you have to get it to actually work which is another story, some motors have front/mid/rear sumps from factory and oil the pumps to suit the sump, might be worth looking into that? oh what a nissan feeling!
^^^ what he said, there are two sumps available for the jz engines, a front and a mid from memory.
tuntown2
Apparently I need to get a front sump for the 1JZ to get away with this problem, so right now might look for a front sump and figer cross

onnpsi
What we did is cut the crossmember center out sat motor in where we wanted it and made new center part of crossmember around sump
the witzl
engineers in NSW do NOT like you modifying the crossmember. Have a chat to 1jz rolla from the toymods link, and ask which version jz sump he used. Most likely you just have to get the right match of sump to fit the engine in. radrollaz
As a few people have said you need to track down a a front sump set up off a 1JZ to make it work with out major mods. Do a little more research and see if you can track one down, not easy to find seperated from a 1jz but see how you go.
Trev
The soarer sump and the chaser sump are different but I cannot remember what one was which, I think the soarer may have been the front sump.
Hiro Protagonist
The soarer sump and the chaser sump are different but I cannot remember what one was which, I think the soarer may have been the front sump. JZZ30 sump is mid/rear, JZX100 is front.
