Hi Mika.

The small stub tube is a bit hard to explain why, I just felt the car needed it.

Main reason is because the car now has rear strut towers transfering load into the rear fire wall.

The Corolla steel is quite thin gauge, even with the 3mm plates, it just needed the load to be spread over a larger area to help reduce flex.

Hey mate looking good, do you know of anyone with a rear end welded solid like yours? I'm tring to decide weather I weld mine in or use the rubber mounts, obviously welding would be stronger but will it be noisy and have a lot of vibration, I know it's a race car but I don't want a stupid amount of noise

Hey Justin, Have you done a mock up of how the rear suspension will sit?

eg, the angle of the A arms with the car at the ride height you want and the wheels and tyres your using.

Being a lowered track car, you might be surprised at how high you will have to mount the sub frame to get things like traction and anti squat to work.

 

Front struts now braced to the cage.

Yeh they're good aligners, dad has 3 of them at his work shop (Shepparton front end centre), no room for error with him so no electronic equipment. The rolla will be similar to the original red, this is the plan
