  1. Will leave the gabriels in the boot :lolcry: I just thought the adjustables would be cool because I don't know which spring is the height i want. I will put those pedders ones in and see what they look like (the car is on axle stands atm). The swaybar which got made isn't too different or thicker, I didn't have one at all on the car I got given. It just has a slightly different angle to help stop it hitting the body on bumps.
  2. Sorry fellas, As cheap as those imports are , this "wives" car has no turbo but this six throttle body beast still whoops with a baby seat in the back, as per St. Nicks avatar! (Turbo M5's have made over 1000bhp, see Performance Buildups a few months ago!!) Mmm, 1992 340bhp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3.8 litre I6 M5 Touring
  3. I want to get my ke20 handling well too so I'm interested in what you do as your car is actually on the road and you will probably beat me to it. I was thinking about ordering a set of these. http://www.ground-control-store.com/produc...php/II=93/CA=18 A parts car i bought came with brand new gabriel shocks in boxes in the boot but I've been told they are pretty much stock replacement shocks.? So far I have some pedders springs; also off a parts car, and when my mate measured up a custom swaybar for his ke20, I rang them up and asked for another copy to be made for me.
  4. how do i subscribe to a thread? really want to see how this ends up!!
  5. Whoops that is what I meant to say. :P Cheers, I will be painting the car an original ke20 colour eventually so I want a factory look on the gauges. I will put plain seat covers over the recaros too.
  6. might be a good idea.
  7. don't forget fuel supply, better cooling system, engineers cert., insurance.... Buy a front cut and flog unused stuff on ebay.
  8. I put the oil pressure gauge and tachometer into the original instrument cluster. VDO cockpit series fit quite nicely. May swap them around so that the tacho is on the right, next to the speedo.
  9. Scion? that name rings a bell, I think that guy who used to be a good rapper did one up on that lame MTV show, pimp my ride
  10. Got the rear water outlet off the fwd ae82 4age yesterday from Chris Young wreckers at Chipping Norton. Just need to find a suitable remote thermostat.
  11. that 4age looks cool...may have to make my red top a red top proper.
  12. remember winning those in gran turismo, stupid and ugly looking. No way I'd buy a shit car just to be different. reminds me of people who used to bag WRX's saying that they are too common etc. Reason everyone has one is because of the package you get for the price.
  13. Got my inlet manifold back from Thornleigh Cylinder Heads. They did a great job: the throttle body is now facing the right way for RWD. Also have painted the 4age ke20 extractors after wrapping them in heat-wrap.
  14. i have a ke20 diff centre, its yours for a six pack of nice beer if you want it. not sure if its a borgy or not. I had the ke20 diff - leaf spring mounts welded onto a ke55 diff.
  15. i have a ke20 diff centre, its yours if you want it.
  16. My first car was a '67 Mini Deluxe with 33000 original miles on the clock. Very slow car but everyone had a story about their mini to tell you. The original owner's son chased me down one day so he could sit in it again and told me how little his mum drove it: just down to the shops once a week and to chatswood for christmas once a year. I wrote that car off and still feel guilty about it. (4 wheel drum brakes and lazy P-platers don't mix) Old cars rule!! don't understand people who buy new pulsars for $20K!!!???? Then take them to shops for wheels and exhaust and call themselves CAR ENTHUSIASTS. hahahaha That yellow ke20 for $500 is such a good deal.
  17. Really, what you want the finish car to be will depend on how much you spend. a modded ke70 or ae92 for that matter aren't really classic, rare cars. A restored ke10 will turn heads for different reasons. i got 1 and a half ke20's for a case of Jim Beam cans ($60). Then I bought another on ebay for $270. i will have spent $6k by the time its on the road with the 4age, it won't be a show car but a sunday burnout car, but its only $6k.
  18. I would pay $1k. and be prepared to spend another $2k to get it on the road. Buy a ke30 or ke55 if you want/need a cheaper car. I know there are a few places that deal with rust specifically. Since the NRMA is rorting so many panel shops, even more are willing to take on private work. I got $910 for my '84 e30 318i on ebay. But people pay up 3 times that for a bmw 2002 in the same condition. Some cars as they get rarer command higher prices and I believe the ke10 is one of these. The condition of the interior is good and the build quality of the ke10 is fantastic, they just feel really solid.
  19. Sounds like a beast. please put up some pictures for us to drool over...! What colour are you gonna paint it?
  20. it will fun for you watching everyone do a double take in their rear view mirror when you come up behind them. front end looks very cool with the cooler and grill over the top! good work
  21. i loved my rental rollas. had a few in September last year with as little as 400kms on the clock. I was pissing p-platers off in their VKs and VLs all weekend thrashing off at the lights. Whoohoo.
  22. some dude from toymods even used an AE71 with his t50/4age, so I may look at that.
  23. yep, that will make your mercedes go a bit better... :D
  24. stupid pensioners on pharmaceuticals. bet she was wasted. i mean, how did she not see that yellow car?
  25. hi, I have a 100kw 4AGE with a T50 gearbox in RWD setup. I don't have a starter motor or alternator. I have been told that any 4AGE starter motor will work. IS THIS TRUE? thanks Jon
