Welcome to the site and nice ride!! Bargain for $500 too. I'll be watching this thread for progress. Jon.

Still looking GREAT!! I hope that someday my 30 looks like this.
-
I'm happy the tire wasn't on the car. It was from my project car, therefore it was being stored along side of the house.
-
WoWzers, they are looking good. Wish i still had all my models that i spend hours upon hours on. My little cousin played smash up with them all. I wasn't a happy chappy. :D

Hey, just wondering if anyone else has experianced a tire blowing up from just sitting around?? This is the tire from my Hardtop 55. It was sitting in the afternoon shade beside the house when all of a sudden it let out a massive explosion. I didn't find it till days later. The tire looked to be in good condition prior to this.

Must just be me, but whenever i selected the location that i wanted the pic located it ended up infront of everything.
-
I know that but what i'm saying is that you use to be able to select anywhere in your post, then select the picture (which is already uploaded) and drop it in. Now, it drops it into the beginning of the post regardless of where you've selected.

Just one... When you upload attachments and don't load them into the thread, they all sit side by side and make the page really <--------------------------> wide. Is there a way to make them sit underneith eachother?? I only say this cause i went and had a look over my rides thread and found all the pics have been moved out and lined up at the bottom of the posts. Also with picture attachments, we use to be able to select anywhere in out post and drop the pic in there, now it automaticly goes infront of all the text at the very beginning. Is there anyway to change it back?? Thanks, J

Its another "DIFFERANCE" that comes from a square headlight model. Quite cool. I've got a set in my KE30. I think they look cool without the headrests. (Headrests are on ATM). http://www.rollaclub.com/database/viewpic.php?id=00000855 I've only ever found one square headlight 55 whith vinal seats, they always seem to be cloth. Anyways, the ones with the cloth usually have the better options. J

Interesting. So why would have they stuck the ID plates on upside down?? Was the person applying them stoned, drunk or just dislexic??

WoW, thats amazing. I never realised the amount of differant cars that were available in the states. That is quite a collection. Whats that car in post 15?? The last photo?? I also love the '63 Chevy Impala. And the '73 Chrysler New Yorker I'm with Raven, my ultimate car would be a fastback stang. I plan on going to the states after i finish both my cars to track one down, and ship over. So is it really just around $2,500 to ship a car over?? I was thinking that it'd be way more.

I like JiPROCK. :y:

I'm doing this exact conversion for my round headlight KE55. I've found that you'll need to locate a square headlight 55 and remove the metal brackets that the lights screw on to. I haven't gotten to the stage of attaching the brackets but i've removed them and taken photos of their location on the support panel. The guards are all the same. So all you'll need is the Square headlights, grille and brackets. Jon.

For all those wanting to visit the car its at Wacol Self Serve Auto Wrecking.
-
(Des wants the bumpers) lOl Told you it'd be interesting.
-
I was wondering how they do it now. Like with the older cars it was XE30 for RHD and XE31 for LHD.
-
So what exactly do you do??
-
Now thats HOT!! Not that practical tho.
-
I like the seats. And i wanted to know if they would fit a 55 coupe. But there was a coupe already there which i hollowed out. I think its sad the the Chrome bumpers have been painted black, the rear one is badly rusted in the center.

I was at the wreckers today and i came across a KE70 that i've never seen before. It has, from the looks of it, Painted chrome bumpers and a flat front end. Like AE71 but not angled. The tail lights are differant too. Bigger and differantly shaped. I wanted to know what year it it and according to the rego sticker its a Yellow Mitsubishi. I think its an import from Japan. It only has one plate under the bonnet instead of two like we usually do. Also, the plate says Toyota Motor Corp. Japan where normal KE70's say Australian Motors. It has nothing that says its build date. The interior is basicly black. Black vinal floors, seats, door trims. I like the effect the seats have with the differant vinal pattern down the middle. The glove compartment is almost non existant, Its a plastic box with a small opening up top to fit your hand in, like a pouch. It also has a small cover over the handbrake with an ash tray facing the back seat. Speedo looks budget. Back seats are all vinal. The door trims remind me of KE30's. Has anyone else seen a KE70 like this?? What do you all think??

Do you still have the K50 clutch fork?? Line them up side by side and compare them.

If you wanna take the hard way about it. I just grabbed an alan key, removed the knob, and then undid the thin nut holding it to the dash. Both would work, but your way seems alot harder. Jon.
-
The bottom section should come out once you've removed... *All the screws around the glove gox (top and bottom) *The screws drom under the dash on the drivers, and passengers sides. (Metal brackets) *One under the dash in the center. (under the heater controls) *The passenger side vent has a screw on its right hand side. *The drivers side vent has two screws visible from the front. *I can't remember if the center one has any screws. *Disconnect the heater controls. *Disconnect the dash lights knob. *Remove choke *One under steering wheel (between dash and steering column) *Remove radio *Remove speedo cluster *Lastly, between the door and the dash their is a screw on holding the tip half on, and another holding the bottom half to the fire wall. Hope this helps. Jon.

Whats The Weirdest Wildlife You've Managed To Hit By Car?
JiP replied to Raven's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
I hit something. In my old car i use to aim for toads on the road. Had good aim too. I once hit an owl, it too wouldn't move off the road.
